What a crazy situation in group A Who would've thought Canada will play so well, with Brazil and France on the edge of elimination after group tage ( honestly, I can't imagine whay feeling must Brazilan volley fans have, knowing that the next match can very well be their last at the OG ). In the group B both Argentina and Iran showed they can take on anyone, and although the results are not that unexpected, there were some nice surprises, and even Egypt won an olympic game Overall I must admit I was feearing a rather weak tournament, but so far many matches were amazing,and the situation, especially in group A is unbevieleably exciting, I can not wait to see how it will resolve. Personally I am cheering for Canadas qualification, though One thing for certain - I am not going to sleep tonight

Well, we were beaten 2-3 by Russia, however its nota big deal since we still played decent. Now I hope France wins against USA and Canada wins against Mexico

Argentina and Canada The first day shows how interesting the tournament can be, even without top class teams like Serbia, Bulgaria or Germany. Except for the vs match we had at least small surprise in every game, even Cuba fought and won a set against Russia. Both Canada and Argentina have now high chances to qualify further. At the other hand it's quite possible France and Iran will miss the quarterfinals, which would be unbevieleably terrible for both teams.

Yeah, well Mexico obviously destroyed Fiji, but still congrats as they kept the lead pretty long

3-1 for Brazil at the end, but Mexico really played well and created a surprise

1-1.. the Mexicans seemed to stop a bit in the midle of set II, but at the beggining of third are fighting hard again, at least looking at livescore - our TV doesnt shiw the match
