I agree maybe not so much in invitational sports but in the official sports hosts should at least meet certain objectives, achieve certain results or simply participate in a special tournament to determine if they should play in such a big event. Unfortunetly most of our teams simply are too weak to compete here and only drag the level down

Belgium qualified to World Championships 2018 after beating Estonia 3-1 in the last round of games. Shockingly, Germany, bronze medalists of last edition, finished only 3rd in the last qualification tournament and won't play in Italy and Bulgaria -
