    I think FIE Rankings are correct, but their qualification lists are written under the assumption that something can still change, since they will decide the qualifiers based on rankings of April 5 and only then everything will be official. But I think the list you updated here (and the one in the Tracker) is how it is going to be

    I think the IOC and WA didn't give much thought to this, because they know they can invite to compete whoever they want. If a nation doesn't have an athlete in the World Rankings, they can just invite the best athlete from the National Federation and that's it. Maybe this "best ranked athlete" is just a loophole in the rules that allows them some space for this kind of interpretations.

    Yes, the last remaining quota in Men's single sculls goes to The one question from this regatta remains who got the reallocated quota of LW2x. My guess is Latvia, but could as well be Canada. We'll have to wait for World Rowing to make it official.

    The rowing regatta is confirmed, and my guess is so will be the events in diving and artistic swimming, since these will all be direct qualification events and athletes will be given exeptions to enter Japan. As I understand, the gymnastics World Cup was cancelled because it wasn't a qualification event anymore so there is no need to host it

    Now that Peru officially accepted M1x quota, LW2x has to be reallocated. But the qualification rules state: ˝If the boat qualified through a Continental Qualification regatta, the quota place will be reallocated to the next highest placed boat from an NOC that has not yet qualified a boat for the Olympics, whether through the World Rowing Championships or the Continental Qualification regatta.˝ It does not say that quota goes to the next highest placed NOC that has not qualified a boat in the same event, so could it be in general (no qualified boats yet)? By this interpretation this quota would go to Latvia who finished 20th in LW2x (2nd in Final D)

    The spot has already been given to the Philippines as the next best Asian/ Oceanian team from the FIBA Rankings. New Zealand also withdrew from the 3x3 qualifying tournament, but that spot has yet to be reallocated (FIBA is waiting for confirmation from the invited NOC)
