  1. Let's travel now to Panevėžys, the 4th biggest city in Lithuania. It is mostly known for track cycling as it has one of the best velodromes in Eastern side of Europe. Many teams come to train here as well as an annual competition that attracts many stars (such as Cavendish for example) is held here Up next let's travel to Anykščiai, one of the most prettiest towns that Lithuania has to offer. It's nature is breathtaking, there are books written about this town. The town is not that big, but here's an opportunity to get lost And finally from this corner of the map let's visit Ignalina. The home of all of our biathletes.
  2. The mountain of crosses from Šiauliai
  3. Time to get back on track with our sightseeing Let's check what the dark blue corner of Lithuania has to offer. Here's a picture of Alytus And now it's time for a pretty special city of Lithuania, where you can not only sight see, but also have some wonderful adventures and it also might attract the attention of our Slovakian friends. It's the town of Druskininkai Are you wondering why Druskininkai are called the town of adventures? Well, worry not, it has the biggest SPA center in Lithuania as well as a water park. And why would it be attractive for Slovakia? It has the only indoor skiing center in our country. It is a highly rated infrastructure as quite a few Olympic teams come to train here as well as there are FIS competitions held.
  4. Let's take a break from sightseeing with a little segment I call Where Are They Now? The segment involves every artist that has ever participated and represented Lithuania and we will be looking at how much their music changed throughout the years. 1st ever participation for Lithuania was a soul/jazz group Saulės Kliošas with their song "Sninga". Let's look at them now! The second time that Lithuania entered a TISC competition, it was a fairly young girl "GJan" that was making a name for herself in our music industry. Let's look at her now! Third participation in TISC was pretty special for me personally, because Lithuania was represented with my song. Let's see what I've been doing throughout the years. 4th time that Lithuania has entered TISC, it was again a song in Lithuanian, performed by our local star Vaidas Baumila. Let's look at him now! The 6th time that Lithuania participated in TISC, we've sent Erica Jennings that is actually representing Lithuania this year as a duet with her husband. Let's look at her now! You might wonder why we skipped the 5th edition. Well, it is because it's very special and it's the reason why we're all here tonight in Lithuania. Let's give it up for Leon Somov & Jazzu!
  5. Let's move a little bit to the right now and look at Telšiai, known as the capital of Žemaitija Here's a picture of Šiauliai famous sun clock And if we looked at the green area of the map, we would see Marijampolė
  6. So today we are planning to spend some time in every corner of Lithuania, seeing the nature and the architecture. Since quite a few of the TISC delegations decided to stay near the sea, let's have a look at that region first. Klaipėda is the 3rd biggest city in Lithuania, it is known as a harbor city, a city historically connecting our country in trade with the Scandinavian countries and Western Europe Next up on our list is Nida that is known for Kuršių Nerija that is oficially included in UNESCO, places to see. Last, but definitely not least, it is Palanga, considered the town of vacations and the town with the best beach in Lithuania. You can also look closer at the singing and dancing fountain here
  7. It is finally time for what all of you have been waiting for. TISC is finally here and it is in Lithuania. A small, but proud Baltic state country. Tonight, we're going to take you on a journey throughout our country and we also have musical acts planned. Before we start visiting most of our cities, let's see what Lithuania has to offer overall
  8. Less than an hour to go to the opening ceremony.
  9. Alright, all of the templates have been sent out. Also, if anyone will be planning to visit Lithuania any time, you can contact me, I would help with arranging the sightseeing
  10. Fun Fact, this one is actually two minutes away from my house and I actually walked past it today thinking if any of the TISC participants would book it
  11. Alright, I was waiting for an e-mail, to know about my evening availability. I had to move the opening ceremony from 19:30 GTM+2 back up to 19:00 GTM+2 in order to finish it in time.
  12. All templates have been sent to the users, still waiting for 11 nations to contact me, then I can send them the templates as well.
  13. Can your delegation at least send the necessary information by letter (the greetings & farewells) so that they could receive the template and connect to Lithuania through Skype during the voting ceremony?
  14. Alright then, as long as no one shows interest in a swap,(apart from Indonesia > New Zealand) I'll update the voting table and upload it in the first post.
  15. That would mean 20:30 for Indonesia and 20:45 for New Zealand? (Local time)
  16. It has come to my attention that Indonesia would like to swap their voting time. Would anyone be interested in swapping with Indonesia?
  17. I can't really explain the breaks To be honest, I don't even know what lunch is, I've probably never had a main meal earlier than 18:00 (Excluding weekends). Since my schedule is so messed up, dinner is usually my lunch late in the evening and I might grab a snack at 22:00-24:00 whilst watching a bit of Youtube or a Show, or Biathlon re-runs :/
  18. I guess I'll never visit The Netherlands then, cause I usually start lunch at 20:30
  19. Question marks on Canada, Brazil and Indonesia (about the timezones) and also inform me, if anyone is planning to make a swap

  21. Due to some personal issues, Diana Rasimovičiūtė of Lithuania focused all of her time to training in order to forget them and it really seems to be paying off. Now the question is, if the best Lithuanian biathlete is ready to have a season of her life starting late November. During the competition in Norway, she took 13th place in the sprint, finishing right after famous Miriam Gossner. During the Mass Start, Diana was in contention for a very high spot with the shooting of 0+0+1, but missing three in the last standing knocked her out of top 10. In an interview she mentioned that she is very happy and determined to show up this year.
  22. Sorry for not replying lately, as you've began to notice, some of you are being sent the templates for the show and gradually I'll work on sending them all, firstly to the people that have sent me the greetings/farewells. In case you've already written that and wondering where's your template, know that I am working on it.
  23. You know, if I didn't respect the nations that voted for the song, I would have disqualified Algeria already.
  24. And it is official, the final date will be moved to the 19th, sorry for the inconvenience, but I was forced to change the date, it was not my idea.
