  1. Seriously Eurosport commentator stealing my joke of Bjoerndalen switching to Belgium
  2. Yes, it's absolutely ridiculous that she had to post 5 wins in the IBU cup to get a single chance at the end of the Olympic qualification...
  3. Seems that our top skater was too bummed out for not managing to qualify to the Olympics and decided to skip the event. We've only sent our single kid to get some experience, but as expected, he didn't qualify from any heat in all three competitions
  4. Well, that's a funny question to ask for most of our Totallympics nations Feel safe & assured, that Lithuania is not planning to steal any medals from the wonderful winter sport countries
  5. Anyways, my few takeaways from this race would be: Tiril Eckhoff having the race of her season, the camera was even focused on her smiling when she took over Kuzmina in the final lap. Franziska Preuss with her reliable shooting might have just secured a spot for herself in the women's relay ahead of Hinz/Hammerschmidt Sweden is seriously a danger, because getting on the podium twice in a row erases any speculations of a fluke. Poland really pulled it together for the first time this season as a team and could be deemed dangerous if they find some extra ski speed. Uliana Kaisheva might get in favour of the team and her good relay result really helps. Both Irene Cadurisch and Aita Gasparin exploded for Switzerland in very similar situations, so they'll have a lot of things to think about. Chloe Chevalier made a name for herself with a very good relay performance. Absolute disaster for the favourites Ukraine. Pisareva completely destroys any chance that Belarus have in the relay for the second time in a row. With Gabrielė Leščinskaitė picking up her ski speed and a pretty solid performance for Paulauskaitė in the relay, I'm honestly very interested what the Lithuanian team is going to do at Antholz and which of the girls will have the final chance to challenge Rasimovičiūtė and Kočergina for the quota in the Olympics.
  6. I'm very interested how the both of them affect the qualification, because that was some solid points.
  7. Lithuania did not get lapped in both of the relays, I'm pretty happy that our women today showed some fight. Paulauskaitė on the fourth leg surprised me a bit. Edit: It's also nice when both of them did not need to do any penalty loops, our shooting is becoming slightly better.
  8. Three of my favourite biathlon countries on the top, can't ask for a better day than this
  9. I don't know if I said it enough, but this looks like the race of the season! Everyone is bringing up their A game, even the athletes that are not top tier.
  10. I'm loving this relay so far
  11. Beilmann is going to shake up the Olympics qualification with this result!
  12. I hope this will be enough for Oberhofer to see a start in Antholz. Since Runggaldier is still missing, they'd definitely need to have at least one back up for the Olympics.
  13. I remember reading that story and felt crushed
  14. Would she really have a chance though? I think I remember that there was an Australian biathlete that had a quota for Sochi, but Australia did not let her participate and she ended her career. Or did I get this all wrong and it was a girl from New Zealand?
  15. Yes, I believe that Antholz does count for the Olympic qualification and it's the final stop where many of the teams will decide their Olympic candidates.
  16. A photo that easily illustrates how the women's world cup is much more interesting than the men's.
  17. Interesting development for the French team Since yesterday we saw the four men that are most likely to go to the Olympics, since the relay did well, now they have Antholz and Simon Fourcade has come off of two IBU cup wins, Beatrix won once and Jacquelin just lost a win by +3.7. I'm honestly very interested in what France is going to do for Antholz.
  18. Anyways, just looking at the protocols now and can we just have a moment to praise team Slovenia for finishing 10th in the relay with 0+2, only two extra rounds used today, that's some impeccable shooting.
  19. It will be a huge mental test for Chloe Chevalier in stage 3, big shoes to fill, when Braisaz is sick. I'm also pretty excited to see Oeberg in the anchor leg for Sweden. Kaisheva with a good chance to perhaps qualify herself for the Olympics if she performs well in the relay tomorrow. Lastly, I'm very happy that Leščinskaitė is starting third tomorrow for Lithuania and not Paulauskaitė.
  20. Biathlon: 1. Will Anastasiya Kuzmina win the third Olympic Olympic sprint title in a row? 2. Will Kaisa Makarainen win a gold medal in the Olympics? 3. Will Makarainen and Laukkanen pass the mixed relay to the men in 1st place? 4. Will the Austrian men relay repeat the success of 2010 and 2014 Olympics of being on the podium again? 5. WIll Norway win the men's relay? 6. Will Germany win the women's relay? 7. Will a biathlete from North America (Canada/USA) win an individual medal (sprint/pursuit/individual) in Olympics? 8. Is the winner of women's individual going to shoot 0+0+0+0? 9. Will Domracheva win a gold medal in the Olympics? 10. Is Johannes Boe going to win more medals than Martin Fourcade at the Olympics? 11. Will anyone from the Russian women team be able to win a medal in the Olympics? 12. Is Laura Dahlmeier going to be the only female German to win a medal (relays non included) at the Olympics? 13. Will Tarjei Boe beat Johannes Boe in the men's sprint. 14. Martin Fourcade won the Olympic title in the pursuit, he also won 2/3 pursuits in the last three World Championships. Is Martin going to win the Olympic gold in the pursuit?
  21. They will be fighting for their lives. The funding for biathlon was cut in half for the following year, they must make top 16 if they want a realistic chance of having training camps next year.
  22. We reached the finish line, that's always a victory in our book Anyway, this relay was awful. Last two relays, there were emotions, people falling on the snow, crying etc. Today, people casually walking (not even running) to their finishing teammate, obviously you can see how little this actually meant to most of them.
  23. Hm, Vytautas Strolia from 21st to 14th at the moment with 0+0 shooting, nice surprise
  24. This race is going to be very interesting. The grand rehearsal of the Olympic relay for most teams.
  25. Okay, so this is at the moment my biggest weakness in life at the moment. I don't know if I sold my soul for this song because of the music, or because of the awesome choreography in the video? And as for something that would be more expected from me, I highly recommend this wonderful song by The Paper Kites And lastly, a song by one of my most favourite lyricists - Lucy Spraggan
