  2. Two more Season Openers this weekend - from Norway and Sweden. Both will have the same program Friday - Sprints Saturday - Classic TT Sunday - Freestyle TT And if I can read Swedish properly - Kan ses i hela världen - both available globally.
  3. Freestyle Slopestyle season opener at Stubai gets moved forward due to anticipated weather conditions = Quals will start today instead of Friday and Finals will be tomorrow instead of Saturday. Only time for three meets before the close of the Olympic qualification window, so all results will be vital. FIS | Freeski Slopestyle stars reunite for Stubai season opener
  4. Time to start doing some bumping - we have several new season restarts this weekend. First up, chronologically will be skeleton on Friday Morning. It's at the new ir restored track at Cortina, where there will be no spectators because there is still painting, hammering, drilling and swearing in Italian to be done before everything is ready. Previews for skeleton and bob here. IBSF | International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation: Opening World Cup event and warm-up for the Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo And will be live on YT as usual. 5. Are those shoes legal? Even for going to the shops, I'd expect the police to ask questions.
  6. It says here it is Full Time but I don't believe them.
  7. They're playing , no worries.
  8. You mean all those trillions of £££££s we are spending to appease the weather Gods does not work? Should we be throwing people into volcanoes instead?
  9. These outages tend to be very random and patchy depending on what DNS server you or your nation is going through.
  10. Late changes to the Luge Calendar. The Igls event has been moved to Winterberg - there has been rebuilding work at Igls and the Luge people were not happy. Bobsleigh/skeleton OTOH are fine with it. The test event at Cortina in two weeks time has been upgraded to one of the races counting in the Olympic Qualifier series. Olympic Test Event in Cortina upgraded: First qualifying race for Mila
  11. Let's hope the Slalom in Levi is an omen for the season 4th Laurie Taylor 7th Dave Ryding 27th Billy Major And with Team Mouat very solidly in the position of World Number 1 in Curling, and a Figure Skating Grand Prix win for Fear & Gibson it has been an excellent pre-season.
  12. Long way short of being boring today!
  13. All leftists will ultimately align themselves with criminal gangs. Baked in the cake since Lenin accepted money from Koba\Stalin's bank robbery gang.
  14. lead! But Shiffrin back to her absolute best.
  15. And we are off in Norway! Normal women's sprint race to start. Unlike , we are going with club runners first then up to internationals. Lots of starters! International feed here. Skiskyting - NRK TV Live results here LIVE TIMING
  16. Eurovisionsport.com has live streaming in English Results here https://live.skidskytte.se/6212#result@52452@1@9 Looks like the big names have gone first & Hanna Ōberg dominates with 0 0 & a fast time. Vittozzi 4th with one miss. All the Germans slow skis. But a very non-standard event so hard to draw conclusions.
  17. We are off in Sweden with the women's special sprint. There has been a bit of fresh snow.
  18. With all finishers home after the prelim round, Bruna is 46/71 - 40.11 down on the Laura Gimmler in the lead, about 20 off 30th. Actually beating a decent number of the Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian club skiers. Importantly, also beat all but one of the minor nations - Aussies, Lithuanians, Icelanders and the other Brazilian, veteran Jaque Mourao. Guess we have to wait to get final points score, but if she were I'd call that a really good day.
  19. British Athletics sometimes use the excuse that having athletes on the teams with no realistic prospect of medals dilutes coaching resources better used elsewhere. Counter-argument is that using all place rewards athletes for a lifetime's dedication.
  20. Paralympics looking to follow the IOC - in the past they have taken a softer line. Paralympic bosses prepare ground for potential ban on trans women competing in women's sports
  21. races from Gielo will be on nrk.no - remember, Norwegian TV has two opening points, one of which is works Internationally and the other is Domestic. This is usually the International one. Timing seems to be they don't overlap too much. Skiskyting - NRK TV Saturday Women's Sprint Men's Sprint Sunday There are actually four mass start races, but I imagine only the high-class races will be shown. Mass Start Women Mass Start Men Season Opener at Geilo | Geilo Entries List Sesongstart Skiskyting 2025
