  1. Tom Pidcock forcing the French guy to ride into a tree in the men's Mountain Bike Alex Yee's last 500m kick in the triathlon Andy Murray fighting his way through each tie like it was a Wimbledon final.
  2. More details of all the changes. Also changes to start order to reduce the impact of the kind of weather-affected races we saw in skeleton a couple of weeks back. And YT link above is now live with this week's start times. https://www.fil-luge.org/en/news/season-opening-at-the-olympic-ice-track-and-premiere-for-mixed-events-in-norway
  3. The loss to last weekend was a real blip, everyone about 20% down on what they usually do. Maybe just not taking the opposition seriously enough.
  4. Just a little bump to remind everyone that, amidst all the excitement for other sports, the Luge Season starts tomorrow from Norway. Excellent - probably the best of all winter sports - coverage is on YouTube featuring some of sports' most ditsy lady commentators and a revolving cast of guest experts, usually featuring whatever lugeist is having a day off and speaks decent English. 5. Team Announcement for the Cross Country Euros in next month. https://www.britishathletics.org.uk/news-and-features/gb-ni-team-announced-for-european-cross-country-championships-in-antalya/
  6. For sure better for one silver - I think it was Shelly Rudman, Skeleton. Can definitely improve on that. Still remember it as a good games, though - think it was the first time I took two weeks off work to watch a Winter Games.
  7. Yes, looks like "Mancs Matty" is going to be a handy addition to the team.
  8. Not often your prayers get answered so quickly!
  9. Some great shots from the guys, but consistency was not there, so only.a Silver. Not so very long ago that two curling medals was the start of the winter season for Team GB, but here we are with piles of medals already.
  10. Seems to be quite common - like Estelle Alphond for because her father fell out with
  11. never hit their best game, so congrats to for their first Gold in 20 years.
  12. WOW!!!!! 4-2 down and facing 3 German counters, Bruce Mouatt nails an amazing triple takeout to score 2! 4 4 after 4 ends.
  13. And I'm thinking you can count World Cup medals in ANY sport for on the fingers of one hand.
  14. Not far from handshakes & hugs - 7 2 after 7 ends.
  15. Anyway...let's hope that this is the last time this year we see a brownfield competition!
  16. Just reminded elsewhere: top 6 in the Worlds this year is an automatic first-tranche Olympic Qual, so that is the target.
  17. Think it is mentally difficult for the two teams with the Olympic place guaranteed and the pressure off, whereas everyone else is absolutely playing at 110%. I'm sure things will be better once they get to Milan.
  18. Bronze for the curling lassies! Things looking good for the Olympic Q, they look like a stable, settled team at last.
  19. play their best, but only get 1, so get bronze 6-4!
  20. Oh dear, once again a 50% shot from Constantini when she needed 100%. blank the end & go into the 10th with the Hammer of Thor.
  21. Very quick end & get 2 back to 6=3, but have the hammer in ninth....
  22. Do not know what the donne were thinking there, but they left an easy double take-out for 3 & 6-1 after eight.
  23. Looking good for the lassies - 3-1 up, 7th end & the hammer. And a great triumph for the BBC - have been showing our games all week & now they miss the medal match.
  24. Phew, Men will play.for Gold, Women will play.for Bronze. Vital to keep World Rankings high at this stage in the Olympic cycle. Women have been.a bit.inconsistent but looks like they are finding a balance.
