  1. The Moral of the Story is stick to your expertise. Gus Schumacher's had a big day winning in the World Cup. His big day testifying to Congress does not end so well. 'Climate expert' skier Gus Schumacher reveals Democrats apologized over his mauling by Republican John Kennedy on Capitol Hill - and claims the Senator was 'asking silly, aggressive questions' | Daily Mail Online
  2. Actually a much weirder story than that! Cipulis crashed on the second run, which would have cost him 2nd Place in the World Cup but……his crash damaged the track which was eventually decided to be too dangerous to race, so his crash didn’t count!
  3. And she repeats with a trademark last to first move in about 20m. But sadly the early season loss of form costs her the season overall.
  4. Wow! Just catching up from yesterday, but Adele Nicoll took silver in the Lake Placid bobsleigh. Only her fourth-ever start as pilot - she only started after Christmas!

  6. Has 250+ starters! Hardcore! I remember about 20 years ago when I first started watching CC I was in a discussion on another web forum with a guy saying that it was a mistake for the FIS to get rid of the 50k TT. And I think he was right - we see huge gaps here, even between the experienced guys, never mind the club amateurs.

  13. Think the IOC needs to be taught the lesson that they don't get a brand new Pharoah's Tomb every time.
  14. Haven't really had a leader since Eve Muirhead retired.
  15. Planning to revive that great 1980s Institution the Friendship Games, both Summer & Winter! Thomas Bacholympicgoldmedalfencing1976 not very keen, but only because he never won any medals at it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/68606455
  16. Cross Country Season not quite over yet. The Ski Classics season continues for another couple of weeks, although coverage is patchy depending where you are. Birkenbeiner on Sunday. Then & both have National Championships this weekend. Norway's will be free to air - hey, let's do a sprint, a middle distance ITT and to finish it off a 50km, why not? Also para, Nordic Combined & even Telemark. NM-veka – NM på ski: langrenn lagsprint, kvalifisering – NRK TV
  17. The BBC are also covering - at least they have Scotland’s games.
  18. Laura Kenny aka Laura Trott, Britain’s most successful female Olympian - 5 Golds - retires. Ironically the very athletes she inspired are now keeping her out of the Olympic team https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/68579889

  20. Odermatt skis out! Misses out on the perfect 10/10 season. Verdu Second!
  21. Diggins puts a decent points difference into Svahn in the 10k Classic this morning, so should guarantee the overall with one race to go, barring the unexpected.
  22. On Pay Per View as normal, but Eurosport coverage starts on the 20th and covers the semis & finals.
  23. Wow, Botn on a charge from the Hundreds! Has the advantage of not being squeezed like a lime on a spring break tequila party of course.
