    Sounds like it was the same live, but with satellite offering more catch-up options. The key thing is going to be how quickly the ES Player transfers live events to archived catch-up coverage. If it’s instantaneous, fine. If there’s a consistent lag………..life will quickly get tough.

    I think it is precisely those extra streams which are now ESP only. Come to think…..will I have enough HDMI slots in my TV?

    Ah ok, if that is the way your provider did it. My memory is that actually the 12 Olympic Broadcast channels we got on cable were indeed enough to cover ever single televised event (there were a couple of non-televised things like archery ranking day).

    The 24 Channels of 2012 were really only 12, but doubled up SD & HD.

    Yeah, we will have (and I presume the same everywhere else) 2 live BBC Channels & 2 live ES Channels, everything else on ES Player. Put it this way: during London 2012 when the BBC had everything there were 2 live BBC Channels plus twelve other live channels (not all active at the same time) to cover every single boxing bout, handball match, show jumping round etc etc. So if you don’t have ES Player, get it soon or miss out.

    See, the advantage that Hungary & Poland have is that they have already read the last page in the book. They know that all these wonderful pleas for love, respect & universal tolerance mean is that people who merely think men can’t become women just by saying so will get fired from their jobs & even jailed. So naturally, after having already had 45 years of that, they don’t want it back again.
