    They shouldn’t, you beat the people in front of you. I really do wonder why the field consistently plays in Jakob’s hands at major championships. I got it the first time but it’s the third time the exact same thing happens in three years.

    There is something entertaining, in a so bad it’s good kinda way, seeing all the 5000m runners just lay down and die for Jakob Ingebrigtsen to win a gold after failing to win the 1500m for the THIRD major championship in a row.

    I don't have a problem with the athletes doing it, I'd do the same thing in their situation. Honnestly happy that so many Russian wrestlers found a way to compete anyway. But I am going to put a bit of an asterix next to this being an medal given Chermen Valiev seemingly has no real ties to the country. That being said, fair play for , I am happy they fianlly have an Olympic medal.

    Chermen Valiev wins the first ever Olympic medal for (I'm normally not the most cynical when it comes to citizenship transfer, but all the getting naturalized in totally random countries to avoid the sanctions is... ya xD )
