  1. Mahut and Hervert are alergic to winningg at the Olympics.
  2. NBC's online stream have the audio out of sync with the video. Great. This is a problem on all device, too.
  3. The rules are made up and the quotas don’t matter.
  4. Having a hāfu light the torch is pretty bold.
  5. I think Osaka was a really bold choice as final torchbearer. I definitively appreciate that.
  6. Canada unfortunately now has it's first final result of the games - Barrett and Duenas finished 17th in the mixed team archery event, just two points away from qualifying for the Ro16. Duenas had an decent ranking round that will leave him the 16th seed. Barrett qualified for the Olympics and that's great.
  7. Pretty sure you can just give the gold in the W4x right now.
  8. Alright, that really snuck up on me (I don't follow weightlifting). I was aware she was a medal possibility due to her qualification ranking but I didn't realize she had a decent shot at gold. Frankly I never expected Canada to ever win gold again in that sport.
  9. Does anyone has a good idea on the form Maude Charron (weightlifting)? According to ESPN5 (the Philipino version of ESPN) she has the best PB of anyone entered in her weight class by 2KG.
  10. I doubt any of these happens, but lets go big: 1. Canada wins gold in a team sport (literally any of them) for the first time since 1920. 2. Canada wins gold in a swimming relay for the very first time. 3. No more COVID
  11. TBH given Saudi Arabia and Israel are unofficially sort of chill at the moment I doubt this will cause too many issues.
  12. Some clutch pitching from Goto, but this Japanese team looks very beatable.
  13. Not to mention that Softball is best on best while Baseball is a B-tier tournament.
  14. This round robin would get really, really interesting if Mexico wins here.
  15. The Australian team is definitively on a decline, tbh I'm not even sure they are a favourite to make the bronze medal match.
  16. Good way to score your first Olympic run.
  17. It was more a base running error than a strategic one IMO. She potentially would have forced an interference call if she didn’t try running around the catcher.
  18. Scores a run. Not unexpected and a bit hard to see how comes back from this.
  19. Ya, my big worry is that corruption is going to be off the charts going forward.
  20. getting in the first round of the mixed doubles. Eugene Wang is gonna have a short stay in Tokyo xD
  21. Agreed. I think the Brisbane bid is great, and that they will host great Olympics, but this new bidding process lacks transparency and is rife for corruption.
  22. I actually think it's good for the IOC to show that they will accept a good bid from a "secondary" city. Brisbane is going to host great games, who cares that they aren't a major world city?
  23. This looks like an excellent street course. Full marks to the IOC, they are really good at creating venues for X-Games style events now.
  24. Only game today without a home run :P
