Yeah, this is unfortunate for Ovidiu, being in the center of this whole fight between the EBU and TVR. I mean, yes, the EBU should've picked a better time to withdraw services for TVR due to them defaulting on their debt, but at the same time, TVR should've at least made payments since the EBU had been asking for the money. Either way, it's messed up and I can only feel for Ovidiu after everything he has done.

USA Well, where do we begin... number 1, there were so many songs available for this jury to choose from, however, we had to eliminate half the field since some of the artists are not from here (you have to understand, many artists from other countries top charts here, so our task is harder than it seems). Overall it was a good year for music in America, and we were basically limitless on the artists that are available for us to fly the stars and stripes in Slovakia, so after practically 2 months of procrastinating and a weekend of this over that (and a night of reminders per say), the American jury has chosen Meghan Trainor to represent us. She's 22 years old from Massachusetts and is best known for hitting the airwaves with "All About That Bass". Of course, we would love to have that song represent us but it came out in 2014, so here's the next best thing on the list. Yeah, I can confirm, just casually watching other tops got me there. Though Russia is my number 5, I too think they will flop.

The US should have a song ready by the end of the weekend. I'm going through many options right now to find a suitable candidate, so it's going to take some time.

I think you would be surprised with your final position once you do qualify, and hopefully Europe (and Australia since they're in the same semi final as Bulgaria) will vote for her so that we can make it happen because tbh, it's about high time.

The Sharapova case is unfortunate because she was one of the last athletes I would expect to be caught up in this mess.

Honestly, it's early to say, but I'm leaning more towards this software, just because of the stuff you're able to do here that you couldn't on the old one.

Alpine Skiing, Curling, and Figure Skating

For me, the only pro I see in this is that the winner won't be announced until the very end, because it is annoying to announce the winner before the last countries get a chance to vote, like in the last 3 years, but at the same time the only con is that it's turning into Melfest. I'm guessing either way they will preserve the 3 1/2 hours they have in the final, but last year the final was 4 hours long.

Melfest does the same thing. Jury votes one-by-one and televoting votes were altogether, which is exactly that Eurovision's voting will be based off of.

Israel is sending this guy to Stockholm after a long season of Rising Star, where votes on a mobile app determines who advances and who doesn't.
