    At this stage of the games i dont think the medal table has looked as tight as it is between 5/6 nations all being up there, the swimming golds are being spread out a lot more than usual, china and usa are kind of down where i would expect them to be, i think the top four on current form could be a lot closer (and lower level of golds than usual)

    im not too ready to write off anyone's chances yet, even if they dont have form it's all about the conditions and marseille seem's a bit weird, emma has figured it out, maybe other crews will to dominate a bit more, fingers crossed. Having said that, i'd settle for 2 golds and sneak something else

    Missed an update on the men's skiff because the stream closed and i honestly didn't think they were gonna race again, they improved thier overall position slightly. Going in to the medal race GB are 7th, 9 points off 3rd....achievable but unrealistic i think, i guess if they finish top 2 in the medal race there's a slight shot

    They do like one quarter of the draw at a time in a session, so takes a few days to get through R64 and R32 games, both men's and women's that's a lot of matches

    I usually hate all forms of doubles but i enjoy at the olympics, just hits different, same with davis cup etc

    GB just torpedo'd thier hopes in the skiff dropped to 7th from 4th but a much bigger gap to the medals, 2 races left today... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT. The next race GB came 6th (gave up 2 positions on last leg, urgh) They are still 7th, 12 points off the medals, hopefully one more race today (we need it) or the next race will be the medal race

    GB screwed again, it really wont surprise me that there is a scandal about the judges at this tournment and this is the last we see of boxing at the games for bit
