  1. Yes, and Argentina in 1990. Those are the only two I can remember. Edit: and in 2018 it was forcefully going to happen since Russia also had won in pso the previous round.
  2. It's almost impossible to win two shoot-outs in a row. Law of football confirmed.
  3. Our final team of 22, as FIFA has now allowed: Unfortunately, the coach of the senior team called 9 U24s for the Copa America so those are all apparently "unavailable" (despite some of our opponents will have players doing a "double"...). And there is also a dozen or so other players that were denied by their clubs: no players from Boca or River is telling as well as the fact there is only 1 overage played (a GK). My expectations are very little so I can't really be disappointed.
  4. Serbia with another sleepy performance.... let's see if they wake up at the end like yesterday.
  5. Better than a draw, just make a poll and let users pick one or two team sports. Just please no monstruosity like the 2012 "men's field hockey + women's football" contest, that was... not good. I prefer to have a single normal contest even if some sports will be left out.
  6. Both formats are terrible. I'd rather not have any contest for team sports if it's gonna be like that. But it's just me.
  7. Yeah, no possible result between Russia and Germany can leave them out. Amazing.

  10. Turkey won but looked absolutely terrible against maybe the weakest team among all the tournaments. Some crazy trivia: it was Uruguay's first official game against an european team since 1986 and we're talking about a team that used to play WCs and olympics regularly for decades.
  11. My prediction ruined in the last fucking second of the match, of course.
  12. Just learned that Muller has 0 goals in euros and this is I think his 4th tournament
  13. Mirco Cuello (Boxing) Delfina Pignatiello (Swimming) Could be more since there are 2 boys in the preliminary squad of the Rugby sevens team
  14. I wanted Korea in our group cuz it's almost a free pass to QFs thanks to points difference our team is also in very good shape lately.
  15. It's impossible (or unhealthy) to play more than 3 rugby matches in two weeks using more or less the same players. Will never happen, unfortunately.
  16. Out: men's football, basketball 3x3, weightlifting. In: men's futsal (12 teams). Use the rest to have more weights in taekwondo, boxing, wrestling, Karate (if reinstated).
  17. Is it so terrible to misclick a flag by one place? I'd be more worried if it was Ivory Coast.
  18. The midfielders are the only important part of croatian team, all the others have decent replacements.
  20. Nice video about all olympic medals in history with commentary and some additional peculiarities, to cheer us up a bit for next month.
  21. And now I'm 400% sure they will beat Netherlands/Czechia Spirit of 1992 is here.
  22. The best and worst part of these trials: watching that packed stadium and knowing that we won't have any of that in Tokyo. Japan really screwed up.
  23. What about athletes from poor countries without funding for sport and, consequently, no chance to win medals? for example, some oppressed person from Yemen or Afghanistan that wants to make some statement.
  24. I have answered: My posture is: As long as it's not an aggression towards another athlete or official, something impeding the normal running of the competition or something that breaks the law in the host country, you're free to do or say whatever.
