  1. Hey guys, I contribute Skeleton articles for a new winter-sports focused website called "All things Snow". I was wondering if any of you could please spare a few moments to read my latest article on the World Cup finale in Altenberg a few weeks ago. Any feedback on length, content, or just general tips will be greatly appreciated. I'll be sure to implement them in my Olympic Skeleton recap pieces. Thanks! https://allthingssnow.net/2026/01/19/pfeifer-and-wyatt-win-the-finale-meylemans-and-weston-seal-crystal-globes/
  2. British Women on fire at X Games! 3rd Gold for a 3rd different athlete with Kirsty Muir on slopestyle! Kirsty backed it up later in the day with a close silver in big air despite a massive score of 94! Meanwhile, Mia Brookes followed up her snowboard slopestyle Gold with a Bronze in the big air. Thats's 5 medals for the Brits this year - Our most ever at a single Winter X Games & first time with multiple Golds! We're in a great place in Park + Pipe going into the Olympics.
  3. Been doing some investigating and Jacques Jefferies, who qualified the quota for the Men, posted on his Insta yesterday "Exciting few weeks ahead keep your eyes peeled 👀" - Sounds like a Man who's just been selected for the Olympics to me.
  4. Great start to the X Games for GB with Double Gold! Mia Brookes beats all the other Olympic favourites to claim Gold in Slopestyle while Zoe Atkin also claimed Gold! Chances for more medals in Aspen later in the weekend with Muir in her events and Mia going again in the big air.
  5. Bobsleigh team just got officially announced, and BBSA rejected Gleeson's quota, so he's not in the team at all... He had allegations against him by members of the GB Bobsleigh team post-Beijing. Wonder if that's why he wasn't selected? Or was it that the selection policy stated he had to compete on the World Cup circuit (which he didn't do)?
  6. Isnt Gleeson also in the 2-Man? He's much better in the 2 as well and could finish top 15 in that.
  7. With Olympic silver medalist Tess Ledeux and 2025 World Champ Flora Tabanelli both still recovering from injury, Kirsty honestly has a genuine medal chance in Milan in the Big Air.
  8. Any idea why Weston's start is about 2 tenths slower than last year? Injury issues?
  9. Startlists for this weekend's races + results can be found here: IBSF Races and Results
  10. I believe the ITT is on Wed 19 July while the track events start on Tue 25, definitely possible to double up for him. This all depends on if the ITT route being not too hilly for him though, otherwise I'll expect him just to do the track.
  11. About Womens team sprint: Parris - Smith was particularly impressive, I believe she split within a tenth of Marchant's best ever split on the first lap. She's only 23 and rapidly improving, I think she'll take Marchant's P1 spot for good going forward. Men's team pursuit I'm not too worried about considering we almost had a B team. We were without stalwarts in Vernon and Hayter who would have made a massive difference + we could potentialy bring in Tarling and / or Junior WR holder Henry Hobbs going into LA. The Danish look phenomenal right now though.
  12. Ohh yeah true, forgot about him. Just hope he doesnt decide to focus 100% on the road now that he's in the Visma dev. team for the next 2 years
  13. Charlton and Tanfield looked decent for the IP later in the week but GB were desperately missing Vernon and Hayter in place of Tidball & Gill here- hopefully they'll be back in the lead up to LA (Maybe even Tarling for Tanfield could be an option by then - Vernon, Charlton, Tarling, Hayter would be an unbelievably strong quartet).
  14. In hindsight, GB swapping out Ledingham-Horn for Turnbull on the final lap was the wrong call. He went 2 tenths slower than Ledingham Horn did in the previous rounds, it would not have been enough to beat the Dutch and Hoogland but they may have been able to break the British record of 41.7.
  15. I dont think he did much wrong tbh. He played to his strengths as a strong 200 runner and got us the crucial more inside 2nd lane at the changeover, kept us in the medal conversation + still split a great 44.4. If we're looking for someone to blame it has to be Davey who split 45.7 at the start, almost a full second slower than his season's best and was why Harries had to go out fast. Yeargin also only split 50.7 which was about 6 tenths slower than the morning, and as she acknowledged in her interview she should've made her move on the backstraight and not left it to a last 100 burn up.
  16. Honestly we need Hailey Duff in the squad too
  17. And now a new WR in the Men's version for Richardson in a 9.041! This track is ridiculously fast due to its steep slope and at decent altitude too. Update: Richardson's WR will not be ratified, went on the apron during his effort
  18. OMG new WR at Konya nations Cup by 19YO Yuan Liying for the flying 200! FIRST EVER WOMAN SUB-10!!! 9.976! This track is FAST and Yuan looks like a future star.
  19. New British Record of 41.788 set by Radford - Richardson - Ledingham-Horn in the first round of the Team Sprint at the Konya Nations Cup. They just edged out the previous record of 41.814 done by Lowe - Turnbull - Carlin to take Olympic silver last year. Richardson has been in the GB setup for a few months and has already got a British Record! Radford & Ledingham - Horn are also both young with so much more potential. If anyone is going to end the Dutch domination of this event in the next few years, it will be this team.
  20. Does anyone know if Laura Deas has retired?
  21. I'm sorry but it's ridiculous they DQ'd him like what did he even do to receive the first yellow?
  22. Carlin in the Keirin much more likely to medal than Evans in the Omnium.
  23. So tomorrow we need either 2 Golds or 1 Gold and 3 silvers + hope France don't win any more Golds/Silvers tomorrow besides (hopefully) a silver in the Women's basketball final. Long shot but just about doable with Finucane, Campbell, French/Bryson, Carlin to come for us tomorrow.
