  1. Canada at 42~ athletes Thanks @Josh Very disappointing number.
  2. Wow that is bleak 42, is disappointingly low. Hopefully we get some reallocations.
  3. Does this include relay additions? If its 42, we are looking at a team size of around 308 ~ Which is less than Rio (which had less events/sports)
  4. I find the limiting of universality quotas to a few events sad. Some countries best athletes don't compete in them. I also don't support removing quota places from events to accommodate them
  5. Palestine (6 athletes) Men's Omar Ismail - Taekwondo Jorge Antonio Salhe - Shooting Yazan al Bawwab - Swimming Fares Badawi - Judo Wasim Abusal - Boxing Women's Valerie Tarazi - Swimming https://calgary.citynews.ca/2024/07/01/six-athletes-including-one-woman-in-palestine-team-for-paris-olympics/
  6. Women's foil team lost to the US 45-21 in the gold medal final yikes
  7. Belize received a wildcard in men's 100m Likely to be their only athlete (unless something comes in judo or canoe sprint)
  8. I was planning on working the games but I got a job late last year in sport (which I am not leaving for a temporary job) However will be my first 'real' games I see on TV since Rio.
  9. Rynda in theory into top 48 as well. Sri Lankan athlete behind her is going to run a 600m tomorrow and might pass her Not to mention the Spanish athlete who may have also raced a nationals?
  10. Good old soccer where you can qualify for the next round with 1 goal scored.
  11. Thorne is also out. He is up to 41st (1st out of the games). hopefully a reallocation? F this. Super frustrating. Horrible venue = bad times
  12. Damian Warner with 7.39 in the long jump and withdrew from the last 3 jumps. doesnt look good
