  1. Yeah, it's officially the biggest flooding in Poland since 1997 (I'm old enough to remember that one tough I don't live in the Lower Silesia region but in the nearby Upper Silesia).
  2. Chicago White Sox need to win 10 of their last 15 games to avoid beating the modern MLB record of 120 losses in a season (set by New York Mets in 1962)
  3. Week 2 has started on Thursday and Buffalo Bills beat Miami Dolphins 31-10 while Dolphins QB Tua Tagliovaoa suffered another concussion. It's safe to say the Dolphins hype based on beating bad teams should finally calm down and it's anyone's guess how long Tua plays since concussions were his main red flag since 2022 already.
  4. Former Panthers Wrocław (as in Wrocław, Poland) WR Kavontae Turpin still making plays in the NFL
  5. beat 1-0 in Osijek. The score should have been like 4-0. Matanovic missed a couple of clear chances, someone like Mandzukic would have scored a brace at least We got dominated so much even our media said it's telling that "over the hill" Modric looked like prime Modric again.
  6. Aryna Sabalenka wins her second Grand Slam of the season and beats Jessica Pegula 7-5 7-5 in the women's final. Pegula won five games in a row in the second set but still collapsed in true Buffalo Bills fashion
  7. Paul Goldsmith passed away at the age of 98. The oldest living Indianapolis 500 starter and the last living driver from the period when this race counted towards Formula 1 World Championship.
  8. Eagles beat the Packers 34-29 in Sao Paulo. That was a good game
  9. Jannik Sinner vs Taylor Fritz is the men's final. The latter came from 1-2 sets down to beat Tiafoe.
  10. A lot of points scored already which is a good advert for international games
  11. Lyudmila Kichenok & Jelena Ostapenko won the women's doubles. Probably the best doubles team of the last 2-3 years that hasn't yet won a GS... until now.
  12. Chiefs beat Ravens 27-20 in the season opener. The score was closer than the game itself as the Chiefs were the better team overall IMO.
  13. Aryna Sabalenka beat Emma Navarro 6-2 7-6(2) and Jessica Pegula came from 1-6 0-2 down to beat Karolina Muchova in three sets. Muchova had BP to go 3-0 in the second set but blew it in vintage WTA fashion.
  14. Women's SF: Jessica Pegula vs Karolina Muchova Emma Navarro vs Aryna Sabalenka The billionaire Americans final is still possible but Sabalenka will probably spoil it. Errani & Vavassori won the mixed title. Tortellini is having some few weeks seemingly years after her prime (albeit no longer in singles, duh).
  15. has won a football match for the first time since April 2004. The judgement day is near!!!
  16. In the mighty clash between two worst Euro 2024 teams led 2-0 at half-time only to concede a goal 20 seconds into the second half
  17. A group of ten black & Latin students kills a white student and gets away with three years of juvenile detention center (or even less if they are released sooner). Can you imagine the political clown show if ten white students killed a black student? This would be all over CNN and I bet no plea deal would be reached at any cost https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c62r1l7591jo
  18. The new season kicks off tomorrow with Chiefs vs Ravens. And Packers vs Eagles play in Sao Paulo on Friday!
  19. Women's QF are set: Iga Świątek (1) vs Jessica Pegula (6) Beatriz Haddad Maia (22) vs Karolina Muchova Paula Badosa (26) vs Emma Navarro (13) Zheng Qinwen (7) vs Aryna Sabalenka (2)
  20. Emma Navarro takes out defending champion Cori Gauff for the second Grand Slam in a row. Gauff played terrible, she had more double faults than winners
  21. Paula Badosa keeps the Spanish flag flying as she makes GS QF for the second time in her career and is on the verge of getting back to Top 20 of the ranking
  22. won four medals which is above expectations. The decathlon was the only stonewall chance we had coming in. Mixed relay was probably an outsider but the medals in women's LJ and 400H were totally unexpected.
  23. Sharifa Davronova defends the triple jump gold medal. Erika Giorgia Anoeta Saraceni takes bronze. I only wanted to write that name
  24. catches at the last meter to win men's 4x100 relay. takes bronze medal.
  25. Finally something went bad for as they are DQ from 2nd place in women's 4x100 relay. and are promoted as won gold.
