Biggest surprise of the WC?
Nope. Brazil played at walking pace, an absolute horrible match. Their arrogance was punished in the end.
Croatia has only beaten Canada in 90 mins and here they are in WC semi-final
All because Lukaku couldn't score from two meters out...
Argentina vs Netherlands must feel like they will play for a place in the final.

Marquinhos hits the post and it's all over. Epic failure for the dancing boys.

Croatia scores... Brazil saved...

Hello! 1-1! Penalties incoming after all
-
And there is Neymar. Just cut with the dancing nonsense though...

Boring stuff. Probably heading into extra time unless something changes...

Danilo is lucky not to get red for that taekwondo kick

That sinking feeling commentators all over Europe get when Štvrtecky takes the lead…
Those commentators should be thankful that Tessah Andrianjafitrimo isn't ranked higher in tennis either

Alexander Zverev returned to action for the first time since Roland Garros playing an exhibition in... Saudi Arabia
So much for Germany's message at the World Cup. Business as usual with the oil sheiks is quickly resumed

Couldn't watch the race live so I'm only TVP Sport late night replay.
Five pages for this sprint race, I guess people really wanted to see Lampic's debut! And she really made it count, impressive how she missed the first three in the stand but came back to hit the last two. It's safe to say she might be a major force with her skiing speed but the 4-shoot races could be interesting
Also I see Davidova improved her shooting speed, no more junior breathing technique?

Yeah, this makes sense. A potential Brazil vs Argentina SF in the top half would basically rule these referees out for remainder of the WC.

Aaron Judge stays with the Yankees who matched the 360 million Giants offer. Yawn.
Bigger news is Xander Bogaerts siging with Padres for 11 years/280 million. I suppose Tatis, Jr. will move to OF now?
Meanwhile Red Sox look like they will struggle for a while here...

Btw, Friday QF referees are selected:
Michael Oliver for Croatia vs Brazil
Antonio Mateu Lahoz for Netherlands vs Argentina

if
loses in the quarterfinals, there's a good chance that Turpin gets the final for the joy of our friend @hckošice...
just kidding, I guess the final showdown it's between Orsato and Marciniak
I'm unsure FIFA would pick Italian referees for two WC finals in a row tbh. My money is on Turpin if France don't get there and Ramos as the dark horse given how they used to love put Mexican referees in the final. Ivan Barton is the darkest of dark horses since he's had a very good tournament but I'm unsure if Salvador will be deemed big enough to get such a chance but maybe it's time to have a pick like that last seen with Belqola in 1998. Since then we had two Italians, two Argentinians and Englishman. If we get Brazil/Argentina SF or any of them in the final there is no way they will put a CONMEBOL referee in the final.

Wimbledon is now considering whether to uphold the ban on Russian & Belarussian players after they were fined and obviously the other three GS didn't follow their lead

It's funny because in Poland for years biathletes wanted to become "sport soldiers" and Wereonika Nowakowska was the one that was always denied because she'd had to skip one summer training camp for a three-month army prep course. And the coaches (mainly Kolodziejczyk, who else) never allowed her to do that.
Obviously it's not a full-time military service, least of all in countries that aren't at war with anyone. Usually some office paperwork or promo appearances. God knows biathletes have enough shooting training to get bored of it in the army

Cristina Fernandez found guilty of corruption. Is the family political empire finally over or will she weasel her way out as usual?

Btw, what's up the Spain back-up kits? Who ever thought they should play as Manchester City? I remember them playing in white, navy blue and barely ever in yellow. What isn't yellow the standard back up kit? It would also fit the "lighter shade" requirement if the other team is playing in dark kits?

Hat-trick for Ramos. The future is now.
-
Swiss get one back from the corner. 4-1.
-
4-0! Throw in the towel
-
Second goal for Ramos. 3-0. Benching Ronaldo was the perfect choice.

I have a feeling both Holland and Argentina would rather play Croatia than Brazil in SF
