  2. I have fixed the post but I can not remove the maximum 75 emoticons per post limit, for future additions instead of adding the flag manually, copy it from another thread (for example the 2016 team sizes thread, where there are all the flags you need )
  3. They could be a problem because someone anyway will have to decide whether any news "deserve" a thread or should go in the discussion thread. To avoid users wake up in the morning and open a thread about what they ate for breakfast. Anyway, latest replies box increased to 12 threads for the moment, we might upgrade to 15 in the future.
  4. Number of threads have nothing to do with the memory used in the database. Another factor to take in mind anyway is that most of the users open the thread from the "latest replies" box at the top of the home page. So a higher number of threads opened also means that other threads will disappear from the latest replies box. And once a thread opened for a news disappear from the latest replies block very few users will see it. The number of the latest replies is right now 10 threads, it can be changed to whatever number so maybe in the future we could increase to 12 or 15 threads, but not too much otherwise the home page becomes too long to scroll down.
  5. Yeah, as Dolby said, I could add it but it would be useless because latest update does not mean latest reply, and the block only accepts latest replies, not latest edited posts. So it would work for some individual sports like Athletics and Swimming (1 event: 1 post after the end of the event), but not for team sports where the schedule is all posted in advance and then the post is just updated. And also for sports with draws (tennis, table tennis, fighting sports etc), because we post the template of the empty draws in advance and then just update the post. Anyway I plan to start again the weekly calendar sooner or later, hopefully it will be sooner than later
  6. Yes, and here is the direct link.
  7. All the 206 Olympic NOC flags + 50 non-Olympic NOC flags have been updated both here and on the results website. Some colours were a bit "discolored", so we can say all the flags made a trip to the washing machine Some examples of before and later: Old New
  8. Yeah exactly, especially the daily results we were posting in the old forum makes the comparison impossible. Even because now in the results forum we are not posting daily results anymore, so it's one event=one post for individual sports and one round=one post for team sports.

  10. Prediction Contest is open again. Tuniscof is online so he will take the decision. I decided to take the decision because tuniscof was not online since more than 48 hours and I didn't know when he would have been back (I also tried to contact him on Facebook). I think to run this contest would be the wrong decision, but since tuniscof is the organizer, he will decide.
  11. Because there could be a general standing with every prediction contest counting for it, so yes, it would not be fair to have such a prediction contest as it was the Australian Open one. 3 hours before the event start the draw in the format template is wrong and tuniscof is not online since Friday at 2pm. This is not what I would call a fair contest. There was a lot of freedom in the Prediction Contests section in the past (this is the first time I take a decision myself about that) and there will be in the future for sure, but I also want to avoid unfinished prediction contests to happen anymore. As I said I apologize with the users who posted their predictions, but I needed to take a decision by myself (and I would have preferred I would have not to).
  12. Wanderer is working on 2018 Calendar so I guess he can answer your question
  13. IMPORTANT The Prediction Contest for Australian Open 2018 has been cancelled. First of all, huge apologies to the 16 users who spent their time in posting their predictions. This is my decision and I take full responsabilities, so don't blame @tuniscof for that. My decision is based according to these 3 factors: 1) Too short notice: I wrote in this thread there would have not been an Australian Open Prediction Contest on January 7th, Wanderer confirmed it on January 10th, then tuniscof opened it on January 11th. 2) Draws: qualifications were delayed because of rain so they finished on Sunday instead of Saturday, and as some users wrote here there were some withdrawals which partially changed the draw. This would create a lot of unfair situations between users who posted their predictions with the "old" draws. 3) Focus on Winter Olympic Games Prediction Contests: Winter Olympic Games are few weeks away and Totallympics is going to organize several Prediction Contests during that period, so our focus should be on that and to guarantee results will be posted on time. The small number of participants few hours before the start of the Australian Open is mainly because of the previous reasons. Also, in general, I am against Tennis Prediction Contests because of the reasons Pablita pointed out. I suggest to make at most one tennis Prediction Contest per year, but this is a decision I leave to the organizers. I decided to intervene in this situation because of the urgency for a decision to be taken and the unavailability of tuniscof in the whole day. Once again, apologies for the time users spent to post their predictions, hopefully this is the only time we have to cancel a Prediction Contest!
  14. So as of now we will have @ahjfcshfghb and @orangeman in PyeongChang from Totallympics. Hopefully you will be able to post here some pictures and comments during the Olympics!
  15. I strongy recommend not to open Prediction Contests last minute anymore. I would say not less than 72 hours, for Handball EC it would be less than 24 hours so I am absolutely against it, especially with Winter Olympics Prediction Contests coming soon.
