Deepika finished precariously at 9th position which means she has to face top ranked Korean in quarters....

But with 3 koreans in top 3 deepika could have avoided them only by finishing at 4th position which she was at after 36 arrows

From 4th position she slipped to 9th after 72 shots where as if you have observe others in top 8 they finished with either OR/SB/PB

Hope she raises her level in individual knockout and mixed team event !!!

Btw in mixed team can korea place more than one team as most likely in womens and mens section they will be in top 4?

Now it upto Atanu to good get ranking in individual so that our mixed team can get good seeding and avoid koreans before Semis.

“I want to show my best performance here, and I’ll shoot it 100% in the next round. It’s good [to be here] but, at the same time, I just want to succeed.”

-- Deepika Kumari after securing a top-10 seeding.

Men's team and mixed team both faces Korea after first match

Only Tarundeep will face Korean in QF.

    • Germany also fell hard in this discipline, the same thing happened to Russia - in 2022 they were much weaker than before. Romania – similar levels for years. France – strong growth until 2024, and now a decline again. Georgia – growth, but a large number of naturalized people from the Balkans play there. Generally, I see Georgia has been naturalizing a lot in various sports lately: water polo, figure skating, etc. Could that local regime there be spending much more money to further promote the country through sports?
