After Cuba results are out, Jeremy is sitting pretty in Asian Continental spot ahead of Saudi athlete who needs 500 more points

Real threat for jeremy would be from korean ham who has no score in 3rd period.

In fact looking at the draw barring gaurav solanki who faces mirzazbeg of uzb ( world Championship gold medallist ) in the round of 16 all can win and win and qualify..... My best estimate 4 women / 4-5 men

Pretty happy with my prediction ..... I think I was bang on ? and pretty much with who would qualify given in my detailed analysis...... I had said gaurav, naman, sachin and one of the two girls sakshi / simranjit would not......

Guys, let's keep the spirit up, we just did so well in boxing the Olympics are on and will happen in time, even Euro 2020 hasn't been postponed yet, just a cancellation of events for around a month, I'm sure things will fall in place soon.

Yes actually we should be talking about the size of the olympic Squad of India by now with just 4 months left ......

I think In 2016 we had the largest olympic team of all time ....This time I feel we will have more  ............... The good thing is India is  active in over 272 events ....... ( when I say active we have at least a top 100 individual player or a top 30 team in the following sports )( left out completely those we are not so active in, I believe by Paris 2024 we will definitely have quota places in those marked black like track cycling or sprint canoeing )

The variance tells us sports we have got better in or worse in ( except atheletics where I believe the lowered number is because of a reduction in quotas )

  Events  2016 2020 variance

Swimming 37 2 2 0
Archery 5 4 6 2
Atheletics 48 34 20 -14
Badminton 5 7 7 0

Not sure if it was the NOC or the biathlon federation (I assume the latter) that put him in the Livigno training 'world' with a former Italian biathlete as coach, but they can definitely also be blamed:  almost everyone involved in that shitshow got the motivation just sucked out of them by the methods and shitty atmosphere until they either retired or changed country

    • Lots of injuries, including often just pure bad-luck stuff like a fall from a set of stairs, illness, and of course the Sochi tragedy in 2014: one of her biathlon friends, young Julia Pieper, killed herself with a biathlon rifle early during the Olympics (she wasn't on the team, but was a training partner of both Preuss and Dahlmeier). Obviously a hard hit, which led to terrible Olympics for Preuss, with a DNF, awful results in her other individual races and a relay where she was the first runner for Germany, but fell early on, got snow in her rifle and broke a pole and ended up losing almost 3 minutes, which in turn resulted in Germany being off the podium for the first time ever.   After that came all the injuries and illness and everything. So glad to finally see her have her big individual global gold, that is so well deserved.
