Positives from the 56th NATIONAL INTER STATE Sr ATH.CHAMPIONSHIPS-2016

Long Jump W   - Neena surely the immediate big one to follow in the event has hit 6.45m, I strongly hope she would go n break Anju Record...though she has improved only 0.06m in almost a year. Hope they send her for good training to improve.

10000mW Run  - Sanjivani Jadhav 33:54.77 though 2 min away from the NR she is just 20 years and if nurtured properly she is the potential star in the future...

5000mM            - Rahul                   14:36.71 though 1.10 min away from the NR he is just 19 years and if nurtured properly he is the potential star in the future...

Hammer Throw W - Saritha hope she pushes Manju and push the mark more further she threw 61.19 , who has the PB of 61.81m. Hope they can push each other at least for next 2 Olympics....

Shot Put   - Hope the Manpreet Jr pushes the senior for more glory has the Jr who is just 20 is just around a meter away from NR...Hope here too we can have good duo fight and attain glory for India. Jr had the PB today with 16.78m

bro he won medal after amost 5 year later ..last he won in 2011 ..and gagn and chain doing battr then hm ...so there is no point of selecting him ....and exchange quota holder kunan won gold in worldcup this year ..so it is much bttr decision

form matters at the right time... 50 meter rifle 3 position is always sanjeev rajput strength meanwhile in 50 meter rifle prone Narang and Chain singh are better....

so if we choose sanjeev ..that mean we dont have Kynan Chenai in trap..as we already have max 2 player in rifle event .so quata exchange is battr optn...and sanjeev won qota in asian championshp ..he finish 5 there ..win nothng among asain player too ..so no chance of selecting...chain already qualified in 50m 3p ..so choosing gagan thn sanjeev is right optn and we got a trap entry too..which is also a medal hope

Agreed, we chose the right guys here, Chain Singh had an excellent 2015, recently maybe trying certain new things, hopefully will do better at Rio. Nice to see Gagan reaching the finals in 10m, so he is now a prospect for 2 events.

In hindsight, it is brilliant that we are arguing over who should be sent and who shouldn't considering the number of potentials for a single spot. Clearly indicates Indian shooting is moving in a right direction. All depth and no dearth :)
