Yes, great news, the rankings will change post the Diamond League events. At Rio, to have a realistic chance of a medal she has to go below 9 mins 10 secs.

not 9.10 - dont go by timings of last olympics or even past few years. remember all those Russian athletes have now been banned. so we wont get as fast a time. but definitely she needs to shave 15 seconds off her PB-dunno if thats possible

Last year only one athelete went below 1:10 - Habiba .... I feel a 1.12 or 1.13 may fetch a medal in rio  so a 13-15 seconds improvement is required which is very difficult but lalita is improving so

Thanks for those points, they are enlightening, so her target tomorrow should be to go below 9:20

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
