Looks it was really because of false start, well, more like late start, he missed the start at time he was supposed to start lol this same thing almost happened once to the Hochschornenr brothers, I think it was in Athens 2004 before their final run 2, thankfully they made it at the very last second and you know how it ended

Yes, such DSQ because of mistakes have no impact to the final standing (10th) and ranking points (32). He would lose the points only in case of severe disqualification like light boat or other proved similar cheating.

Depends on how the track will be built for the final block. If they will set it like today then very likely  there a medal possibility. Today it was no surprise that he won, You could see it in both the semifinals and finals, he had the best times. The finals track today suited him perfectly. Basically, the tracksetter built it for him we can say.
