Incredible score!

His preliminary scored got corrected to 37.2. Enough to put him in front of Donckers and back in 2nd place. :d

Ouch. That was a bad round for poor Cathal Daniels.

His mare just didn't want to play... He ends up on 84 penalties. It's a miracle that he avoided elimination after so many refusals.

:NZL Andrew Nicholson ends the dressage portion with 38.3, goes into 6th place. :)

We have 7 different nations in top 7 :woot::AUS:GER:IRL:BEL:USA:NZL:FRA

And the best for the host nation is in... 18th place.

:IRL Jonty Evans - Now that's how you celebrate breaking 40 penalties for the first time. :d

Meanwhile, :AUS Burton's score of 32.9 is the best dressage score at Badminton since 2002. :woot: So, that's the best score since eventing's complete make-over in 2004.

Cross-country starts today at 11:30 British time (12:30 CET). Looks like the optimum time will be 11:46.

And here's a little gem from Badminton 1995. Nicholson himself will be the last rider to tackle the XC stage today. :)
