Luke Lamperti has earned a top 10 finish at two races in Belgium.  Will be keeping him on my radar as the weeks go by.

As far as LA28 goes, here's how the quotas break down.

Max per NOC:

4 per gender for road race

2 per gender for time trial

Host Country Quotas:

2 per gender for road race...must earn the rest.

In Paris: We earned 3 M for RR, and 2 for everything else.

Earning quotas is partially dependent on our UCI Road World Ranking by Nations.  Currently, we're 9th for M and 15th for W.  That would mean 3 M for RR and 2 W (i.e. same as Paris).

For TT, we'll get 1 rider for each gender based on our Ranking.  Then, we can earn another one per gender if we're in the Top 10 at the TT at the 2027 WCh.

In Paris: Kristen Faulkner won Gold in the RR, and Chloe Dygert won Bronze in TT.  :)

Matteo Jorgenson in good position to podium tomorrow given his position now in the Tirreno–Adriatico race. :)

Luke Lamperti won the first stage of Paris-Nice, but has since fallen back.

Gotta get started getting familiar with our 786 athletes...

Road cycling is weird when it comes to the Olympics. Some of the top US cyclists haven't gone to the OG in the past.

For example, Sepp Kuss won the 2023 Vuelta which is one of the three grand tours and he didn't go to Paris 2024.

Today was Women's Time Trial.  US took 1-2 :)  Kristen Faulkner won Gold (she won Gold in the RR in Paris, as well as Gold in the TP in Track Cycling!...and she also won Gold in this year's track PanAms in TP and IP).  Emily Ehrlich (who also was part of the PanAm TP Gold, won Silver in the IP, and won gold in the TP and IP for 2025 and 2024...and who beat Faulkner in the 2025 USA TT on the road) came in Second.

Men's TT is tomorrow (but I don't think we have any of our guys there).  Women's RR is Saturday.  Men's is Sunday.
