Seriously ask, why didn't Poland ever nominate Zenek for this song? Very strong.

Because disco polo like this isnt music for contests, its good for an weeding or party on beach.

But you won't know until you try. At worst, you'll fail, and since people are voting, that they might like this kind of music. Of course, the jurors themselves would immediately dismiss it, but they don't make 100% decisions like they used to.

I remember that performance too, because the band was popular in Poland at the time and the topic was current—EU accession. I think they placed 7th?

Recently Poland maybe send good performers- singers, but they don't stand out in any way. So I'd send Zenek once, just for fun; maybe there would be more interest, even if he didn't win anything. Sometimes it's better that way than finishing somewhere lower and not standing out nothing.

This guy submitted that song to our preselections, I wonder if he will be among 10 selected artists

Poland, in my opinion, had very big potential with Jann, whose song is very unique for Eurovision, because there aren't a lot of dark pop entries. Plus the selection was rigged towards generic singer with generic song (Poland is kinda known for that, Luna and Blanka are the examples of how judges ruined everything with the stupidity).

I just remember that it was always said that Poland should have won in 1994, but there was some kind of conspiracy, etc. I don't know how much truth there is in that and how much not, but this competition was always controversial and there was a lot of politics involved. Personally, I have little interest in this competition - an Olympic gold medal in any sport is more important to me: 10 times more to me than this strange song contest  And Zenek I will sent just for fun - I already wrote that. Still, I think he has a nice voice- and this song has that certain something. Like our Annalisa, it's also in the disco music.

    • Yep, I actually think this Schwaller team is only just getting better every single year, and there’s not many viable options at third and fourth in the Swiss women’s curling scene, there’s only some good but not great players.   If Paetz and Tirinzoni both retire before the next quadrennial (likely for Tirinzoni, she said at the end of last year that the recent GSOC event would be her last) then Berset-Witschonke-Howald-Hurlimann is the best you can do and I don’t think the firepower is there. If Paetz keeps going, and it’s Witschoke-Howald-Hurlimann-Paetz then it’ll be interesting, but it’s also hard to predict.
    • The Canucks have started their tank this season and now we’re awful, so I’ll only be watching when the playoffs start  at least we get a guaranteed top 3 pick, but even that probably won’t go our way.   Fencing WC’s are interesting yep, if I can find a stream and if our top fencers are competing or make it to the R16 or further.    Speaking of basketball, I forgot about NBA
