:CAN Brunelle last in her 1000m semifinal

Complete disaster, I wouldn’t be surprised if our women’s team doesn’t win a single medal at Milano-Cortina :pope::rolleyes::bones:

Why? I would be suprised if your Ice Maple Women's team doesn't win all medals at Milano-Cortina :d.

Boutin 500m, Sarault 1000 & 1500, mixed relay for sure and women's relay very big chance.

Did Jens van 't Wout withdraw?  He won his heat, but didn't appear in the QF for the 500m.

Jens is sick. He won't start anymore this weekend (and probably not next weekend).

So this will be a very disappointing tournament for the Dutch Lions. No chance for the finals for the men's relay without Jens. And we miss important qualification points for the Olympics. Well, that's the risk when you only have one top skater in your team.

Welcome to the disaster that is the new results system

I hate, really hate, hate, hate this results system. How on earth can you come up with something like this. It's a shame.

I was joking, but this seems like a little bit of a stretch when our women’s team, while they still win medals, aren’t dominant like the men. Maybe if we had five entries in each event, but that probably still won’t happen, podium sweeps rarely ever happen at the World Cup/Olympic Stages even with how dominant our men have been, there’s always the possibility of falls, and they still have the Koreans, the Velzeboers, Santos-Griswold, Desmet, Fontana to compete against that can all beat them.

About the results system: even the Dutch television commentator doesn't know which riders make up the teams in the relay. He said "Normally I could easily look it up, but that's no longer possible. I don't know who is skating. But luckily we have the nicknames."

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

    • Another weak result for our athletics team, which is typical; without Caio or Alisson, our chances of a medal in any high-level tournament are almost zero.   However, Juliana's result in the women's pole vault was a great 7th place. She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.
