Still think the 50km should be Individual Start at the Worlds.  Yes to mass start at the Olympics, but at the Worlds you need to find the single toughest skier.

Agree about the worlds but why would it be less important in the Olympics, the event with the highest status?

Because with the Olympics you are catering for a general audience who don't understand the technicalities.

no way, if people don't understand, just study! or, at least, listen to the broadcasters (hoping that they're good enough to explain those technicalities)

the Olympics are the highest point of a sport, it's time to stop those idiotic decisions that make it easier to win an Olympic Gold than a National Championship

in this specific case, at the Olympics there should be the 50km time trial and it should always be in classic style (meanwhile sprint events should always be in freestyle technique, as you have to show the maximum speed as the key factor)

Yes, I'd rather see time trial 50 km. Still remember Lillehammer OG when :ESP Jordi Ribo & :FIN Sami Repo got plenty of screen time leading at the intervals :p

Ebba Andersson falls while trying to pass Karlsson... Yikes.

Johaug would probably only have one individual medal from this championship without the fall from Sundling/Weng in Skiathlon and this.
