The Laver Cup, the annual competition between Europe and Team World, modelled on the Ryder Cup, is currently underway.

 

The second day, where each match is worth two points, got off to the worst possible start for Europe, with Zverev losing decisively to De Minaur. With the score at 3-3 after five matches, Rune, Cerundolo & Ruud/Rune will face Cerúndolo, Fritz & De Minaur/Michelsen respectively tonight.

The USA is a similar favorite to us against Argentina in volleyball: 1.50 vs. 2.50 with the bookmakers. It's a open game. But again, everything will depend on Paolini and her doubles with Errani. Unfortunately, our second racket is very weak and that's what sets us apart from now and those days with: Pennetta, Schiavone, Vinci and Errani: there were 3 or 4 players at Paolini's current level and now she's alone.

A night to forget for Europe, which lost all its matches, including Alcaraz. From 3-1 to 3-9, it will be a very difficult third day if they want to try to stage a comeback.
