Keely Hodgkinson won't be able to race for several weeks after a minor injury this week.  :(  WR attempt this weekend is off.

the live results page is weird said he retired after three fouls but he didn't and his fifth round effort was 21.34

:ITA ruled the shot put as could be predicted,Zane weir finished second with 21.72 for a seasons best and had three more throws over 21 metres,Leonardo Fabbri completely dominated from the second round and had five throws in a row well over the 21 meter line,finishing off with 21.95 on the last round which is of course,the new world lead.

why is the live stream on world atheltics not starting for me ,am i seriously gonna have to watch this on facebook with no commentary ?

      Malinin  opted for the 4-Axel in his Short Program, but faltered, landing him in 3rd thus far (and only 0.05 away from 4th!).  Surely he has the tools to rise back up in the Free Program.  (Also, perhaps this will serve to show him that he is in fact beatable.)

      I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->

      Ukrainian diver Lyskun switches allegiance to Russia, loses all medals | Olympics News | Al Jazeera   'loses all medals'   I would assume Al Jazeera could have been a bit clearer and mention this would presumably only be national medals. I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)

      Confirmation about the broadcasting rights.   If I'm reading it right, for most of Europe it will now be exclusive to Discovery/Eurosport or whatever brand they use.     For outside Europe, it's on YouTube.       Surely. Her first coach now works in russia (and grandma lives in russia according to Sereda). They were in contact and despite of full funding from  the girl decided to become the star of russian propaganda.  As I saw in X: "It took the Russians four years of war to find a relatively well-known sports personality to carry out such a propaganda operation."
