At least you guys have Skenes who is by far the best American pitcher to have committed in the tournament's history.

It's a good start, but at most he's only pitching a handful of innings.  I'm hoping him being on the team compels some other big name pitchers to play and hopefully it's better than last time where American pitchers simply don't view the tournament as a priority and would rather spend that time in spring training getting ready for the season

Max Fried has already called himself out, just to say

Saw that one.  Would love for them to get Skubal, but I'm worried that his situation with the Tigers where they might trade him (but probably not) would prevent that from happening.

It looks like you guys will be juuuuust fine.

Tarik Skubal, Logan Webb, Joe Ryan and Nolan McLean all committed within the last couple of days.

Oh yea.  Seemed like they were starting to get some less than elite pitchers, but the commits they've had in the last 12 hours have been stellar.  Now the staff feels like an embarrassment of riches.  They have 3 elite starters and a bunch of guys that can eat innings.  Thrilled what Mark DeRosa has been able to put together.

Aaron Nola, Adam Ottavino and Kyle Teel officially committed to play for :ITA at the upcoming WBC :cheer:

if he's healthy and in good shape, Nola is a really great addition to the team (the mound still being the weak link, though)
