Those results from Kasia Wasick are impressive, lack medal for her in Paris is still hurting me the most as we see that she deserved it more than anyone else....

She was at her peak in February at the World Championships in Doha. If she had swim like that in Paris, she would have won bronze. She's a good swimmer but to win medals at the Olympics, as you can see, you need something more - like peak form at a key moment. Because let's not kid ourselves, but swimming in a short pool in the winter is more fun.

A monster 2:12.72 for :USA Douglass in the women’s 200m breaststroke, holy crap :hyper:

Broke the previous WR mark that she held by almost a second and a half, and she’s now almost two seconds faster than the next fastest all-time performer, Rebecca Soni (2:14.56)

Another two WR’s so far in Singapore, and Marchand’s is arguably the most impressive ones of the entire Series (alongside Douglass’s recent one probably) :yikes::yikes:

:FRA Leon Marchand smoked Ryan Lochte’s WR (1:49.63) in the men’s 200m individual medley, becoming the first man to swim under 1:49 at 1:48.88. :SUI Noe Ponti went 21.50 in the men’s 50m butterfly, undercutting his previous WR mark of 21.67 from Shanghai.
