Another 4th place... What`s a frustrating season for us. I'm just curious why France has 3-4 skiers on the podium in the World Cup, despite the fact that it's a country with no tradition in cross-country skiing and we've had one Pellegrino for 15 years? The same with women - Germany, Switzerland, and even now Andorra have great talents but we have nothing. It's not like only Norway and Sweden are successful here...

Yeah, even a 4th place for Andorra now, awesome :cheer:

Somewhere on my phone I have a video of Bruna and the two Argentinian girls in Trondheim absolutely screaming their lungs out for Gina to make the final (didn't work but still), one of my favourite Trondheim moments :d

From Italy only Gismondi shows promise in the future, but I also have doubts, because we have wasted so much talent in the last dozen of years:facepalm:On the other hand, skiers like Cassol, Monsorno, Ganz etc. may be solid, but they aren`t material for the World Cup podiums.

    • Well, it still hasn’t settled in an hour later.   This team has given me so many heartbreaks over the years it’s actually insane. I can’t imagine having to endure to this for multiple decades. Even if we have some luck, we’re just not destined to finish the job.   I don’t know. This sucks. Everyone in the country would be over the moon if someone told us about finishing fourth before the tournament, but it just sucks. Not getting to see them with the medals, not getting to see them cheerfuly answering questions from the media, I don’t know.   I mean, yeah, fourth place is great. No matter how the games looked like, we can claim we’re the fourth best team after the tournament, no one can take that away. But to imagine we were one game from celebrating with the players on the main square in the capital, I don’t even want to imagine. I don’t know.
