Luge Discussion | Qualification to Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026 Road to Milano Cortina 2026

AIN's will skip (they got American visa too late) 2nd WC stage (but their could compete in 3rd WC stage) and, therefore, their chances to got more than 1 entry in OG have become lower, especially,  if their will not allow to compete in Sigulda (but after their participation in Poland's short-track WT stage, I won't give 100% chances for that).

Maybe problem with entries will be solved by itself)

I think (probably) if the FIL lets them enter 3 lugers in a race they must intend that up to 3 can qualify. Be nice if they gave us some rules.

Maybe someone else stole the money: the coach? The president? And they're looking for a scapegoat? But it's strange that such a well-known person is being detained- maybe his political views aren't what they should be?

Where can I see the current Olympic rankings? There's no link on Wikipedia. In my opinion, after the last World Cup, Italy should have had 3 people in the men's single, not the USA – the 3 athlete from the USA wasn't even in the top 20 recently, while here Gufler-Ita,  was 12th.

Here's my calculations of the quotas. I believe you are correct about Italy having 3 quotas in men's singles.

The persistant stupidity of our federation to not competing in any single women race will cost us the possibility to field a relay.

This is just mindblowing. Totally beyond me

And there is no provision this time for getting a quota to compete in the relay, so it looks like time may be running out.

I thought Slovakia didn't have any women in single? It's a bit ridiculous that two men's doubles teams will be competing for Svk, but no women. Would your girl have a realistic chance to Q?

China and Poland are missing one men's single, and Slovakia is missing one women's team, who isn't competing at all this season. I was hoping Poland and China would get a wild card to compete on the team relay at the Olympics.

Sochowicz has clearly underperformed so far this season. I hope he picks up the pace soon and we should join the team relay event.

The Chinese without a wild card may have trouble qualifying and if they don't send a team, the women's doubles team will also be in question :(
