 @intoronto am I missing something, or is Matthew Uliana not competing? He’s our best youth prospect in men’s hammer throw, was over 70m last year.

Decathlon start lists aren’t out yet, but Warner will be competing in at least two events. Also, Staehli and Ellenwood are still on the entry lists, but that must be a mistake. 

 

Any notable youth athletes I should keep an eye out for, that I’m missing? Obviously they won’t qualify for Paris, but it’ll be good to keep my eye on names for the future.

Doesn’t look like we’ll be sending a 2nd women’s hammer thrower to the Olympics 

 

5 rounds in, and both Weir and Butler need around 71m at worst. Neither are anywhere near that mark.

They’re 15th and 18th in the rankings, and 32 go to the Olympics, so yup.
