Road cycling will be down a few NOCs from the last edition assuming there isn’t much crossover from track cycling in regards to unqualified NOCs. I believe 18 NOCs should be line a for a quota at the moment, compared to the 23 NOCs that took part four years ago. It will be interesting if we continue to participate across sports drop due to quota cuts and tighter qualification systems this time around.

Basque Pelota quotas from the Pan American qualifier:

M Frontenis - :MEX:ARG:PER

W Frontenis - :CUB:PER:VEN

M Fronton - :ARG:BOL:CUB

W Fronton - :CUB:ARG:URU

M Trinquete - :MEX:URU:PER

W Trinquete - :MEX:URU:VEN

M Frontball - :CUB:ARG:BRA:USA:URU:PER

W Frontball - :URU:BOL:ARG:CUB:CRC:GUA

:ESA should be the only country to leave the qualifier without a quota. :CRC should be represented again after missing the last edition.

Look like every country will qualify in every event its entered in. No USA in 2/4 events

Current distribution of quotas based of Heat 1:

M K1 - :ARG:BRA:CAN:CHI:JAM:PAR:PER:VEN (1 quota leftover)

W K1 - :ARG:BRA:CAN:CHI:MEX:PAR:PER:VEN (1 quota leftover)

M C1 - :ARG:BRA:CHI:USA (:PER:VEN didn’t finish, but could get a quota if they register a result) (1 quota and 1 wildcard leftover)

W C1 - :ARG:BRA:CAN:CHI (3 quotas and 1 wildcard leftover)

By my count, there are still open quotas in every event. :MEX:USA entered K1 paddlers in the men’s Junior and U23 events, but not the senior event. Perhaps one of them will be entitled to a reallocation?

No changes from the initial allocation I posted earlier, other than :PER:VEN guaranteeing their quotas in M C1.
