Breaking.

 

The Slovak Biathlon Women and Men Team will no longer be part of the weekend program at the WC in Kontiolahti.

 

According to the measures and regulations in Slovakia in order to prevent the spread of coronaviruses, they will have to fly back to Slovakia on Saturday. An order from the authorities in the country, Since no international flights are allowed in the country, the authorities will send tomorrows a special government plane to bring them home.

 

All members of the team will undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine after landing in Slovakia.

Paulina Fialkova finished 77th today. It's not like she would be starting in the pursuit anyway :lol: The rest of the Slovakian team, well, they have nothing to compete for anymore either.

Not sure if this was the reason obviously, but they got the news just a hour before the race

Kind of like what happened in the 1950s when a player defected.  Rest of team back to the Motherland under armed guard for interrogations & an unexpected change of career.  :woot:

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
