Continental mixed team championships just finished, at the same time another interesting mixed team event is still being held in China- China Badminton Super League. The semifinal just finished.

Xiamen 3-0 Zhejiang

XD: Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong 3-0 Wu Mengying/Shen Huanyao

WS: Wang Zhiyi 3-0 Chen Yufei

WD: Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan 3-0 Yu Yishan/Yang Xiaoyu

Jiangxi 3-2 Shenzhen

XD: Li Junhui/Liu Xuanxuan 3-1 Liang Weikeng/Zhang Shuxian

WS: He Bingjiao 3-1 Zhang Yiman

WD: He Bingjiao/Liu Xuanxuan 1-3 Zhang Shuxian/Zheng Yu

MS: Li Shifeng 1-3 Sun Feixiang

MD: Li Junhui/Mohammad Ahsan 3-2 Liang Weikeng/Wang Chang :yikes:

Amazing performance by two veteran worlds champion Li/Ahsan defeating uprising star Liang/Wang, even though it’s just a commercial event.

Chinese olympian Du Yue and OG champion Wang Yilyu are reportedly retired, at least from national team level. It's not a big surprise for badminton fans if you keep following their matches and obviously their competence declined sharply after Tokyo OG.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
