“Every country works hard to promote their sports - China did for wushu, Japan for karate, we also brought in kabaddi in 1990. Now, Yoga has already been approved by the OCA sports committee and the executive board and hopefully on the 8th, I am confident of *Yoga being recognised as an Asian Games sport*. But I don’t think it is an Indian event any more; Yoga has become a world sport."

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
