@Henry_Leon Mitoglou is injured? He hasn't played in a very long time.

yes, he's injured...

he broke his left foot in Kazan (late November), he had an operation and now he's recovering from that...

he's expected to comeback by the end of January/beginning of February (if everything goes according to the doctor's plan)...

Unfortunately yes.... he suffered an injury in November, and after a surgical operation necessary to synthesize the fracture of the fifth metatarsal of the left foot, could be back in late February.

For the defence of AX Armani it was a bad time after his injury, four lost in-a-row in EuL.

  • 1 month later...

The ECA Shareholders Executive Board, meeting remotely on Monday, February 28, took the following decisions with regards to the war in Ukraine:

1. To suspend participation of Russian Federation teams in both the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (CSKA Moscow, UNICS Kazan, Zenit St Petersburg) and the 7DAYS EuroCup (Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar).

2. Euroleague Basketball to continuously monitor the evolution of the situation. Should the situation not evolve in a favorable way, all regular season games versus Russian teams to be annulled to configure the leagues' standings.

Euroleague Basketball and its clubs reiterate their firm commitment towards peace, against any acts of violence or war, and will continue to use their voice to promote respect, inclusion and diversity, values that sit at the core of the organization and its teams.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
