How was he robbed by the way? Apart from simply not getting the scores he wanted

An aerial like that only gets an 8, seriously? You can say that the criteria for this sport are subjective, but if that thing isn't worth at least a 9, what kind of shitty sport is this?
And curiously, JJF with a simpler trick gets a higher score than that?

Brazil is being robbed once again in men's surfing. That's the only way to beat us, right, USA?
But ok, silver is still a good result, despite everything.
was top 3 in both men's and women's in all the year's main competitions (ISA Games, Olympics and World League Final).
Ok Let's pretend it was fair.
The gold medal is in good hands. Well deserved.
Go
It looks like there will be no medal for Costa Rica either.
Sorry, . But Medina is an olympic medalist. He deserves that medal so much.
Go Medina
The competition ended with 10 minutes left, wouldn't it be better to end it? Are the two surfers really going to be stuck in the sea for 10 minutes?
I don't follow surfing much, so I don't understand the logic. But why the hell are there brazilian judges in a match with a brazilian?
Expandwow Medina lost?. Guess Peru will bite the dust yet again now.
Brazil having a lot of trouble to get golds. Weston will have to neutralize this deficit. Only the volleyball women (x2) and Queiroz left as realistic chances I think.
And Ana Marcela in the open water. Anyway, who knows? Our two gold medals so far were not expected by anyone, maybe more will come along like these.
Surfing should not be an Olympic sport. Even if it means one or two medals less for my country.
Medina and Chianca could easily be an Olympic final, but it will be a quarterfinal match.
At least we have already secured the semifinal.
Medina is destroying Igarashi.
Another loss to Japan in the Olympics... But this time I was almost rooting for this to happen, Toledo doesn't deserve a medal here.
A silver and a sixth place, great brazilian result considering that in women we are not as strong as in men.

Yes, there was a lot of talk here that surfers like Medina and Vaast were favorites in Tahiti because the judges in Tahiti valued that type of trick. I always wondered, how did they value it? Is it simply a question of which trick the judge likes the most and that's it?
In any case, I maintain my position, this should not be an Olympic sport.
