It's funny.
I still can't believe this team got the silver. Considering the way this team plays, I think it's a satisfactory result.

vs
in a women's football final, just like the old days.
3-0
It's Brazil's best game in the last 10 years, at least. We're not being spectacular, but I think it's the first time we are winning and it doesn't seem like luck to me.
I still don't understand how France managed to lose to us, their team is 10 times better. By the way, is this the first time we've beaten France in an official competition?
This is the first Brazil game I've seen at the Olympics, and my God... I had forgotten how awful this team is.
But somehow we haven't conceded a single goal yet.
What kind of football match has a score of 6-5???
Predictable.
It seems only a matter of time before Spain puts an end to the match.
ExpandRemember Wembley Euro final? This is going on everywhere where Football is played.
I agree, but we're not talking about Brazil x Argentina at Maracana, it's an under-23 game at the Olympics, it doesn't justify things getting out of control like that.
If it were in Brazil or any other latin american country...But of course in the first world, organizations are perfect, right?
What a way to start the Olympics.
Argentina
I think it's the first football match between nations that I watch where the fans are not completely separated in the stands.
Thanks God! This mess is over.
ExpandAlso, mixed feelings. On one hand I had hoped for a good result for Brazil, especially for Bruna and her being annoyed with the thousands of morons on Brazilian social media talking shit about the women's team and how only the men's team matters (you know, those guys like Neymar who spend more time acting than playing and get paid millions and millions), but on the other hand, surprises and stuff like that are what make sports great and so Jamaica qualifying is absolutely amazing

As much as this team is a disaster, it's not the girls' fault.
Unfortunately Brazil is a country that only likes to win. They will only have great support here like the men's team when they start winning, that's the reality. Should it be the opposite? Maybe, but that's not how it works.
The media doesn't help either, comparisons between the women's and men's national teams are all too frequent. No one wants to hear that "Marta is better than Pele" or "The women's team would win 5-0 against the men if the two played against each other".
As I said after the Brazil-France game, it's always the same.
ExpandBrazil men's side isn't doing much better

With all due respect, this Jamaica team is horrible. If women's Brazil can't play better than this against this team, it's better to be eliminated.
And I agree with you, our men's team is incompetent.

Normally I don't follow women's football, only Brazil games sometimes. Is this sport ridiculous like that or is it just Brazil?
It's the same thing as always. Who would be surprised?
What a shame, my God!!

I think it's desperation, Brazil is under a lot of pressure with the recent results, and against Argentina maybe he wanted to show something to the fans. But I agree that it was quite exaggerated.
Now I'll have to endure another week of "if Neymar was there it would be different"...
