Unfortunately, we lost our promotion today and to France... I don't believe in a 3win against Hungary on Friday. A 3 win today would have been enough to qualify But it's also embarrassing that we're up against 7-8 playersfrom Canada/USA, and we're losing to France, where there's no naturalized one They're simply at a higher level than us. Without promotion, in 2 years we'll be at the level of China, because. We lost a huge opportunity today. I'd rather win today than at the Olympics, because qualifying for the Elite is crucial for Italy and the Olympics are over and irrelevant. I'm actually surprised how France gets female hockey players without naturalization to perform at such a high level? The sport isn't popular there at all- this isn't Germany.

Spring Nationals, Day #2   women's 50m Back: Sara Curtis, 27.33 (new NR)   men's 200m Fly: Alberto Razzetti, 1.54.99; Andrea Camozzi, 1.55.54; Matteo Cristopher Palmisani, 1.56.00; Frederico Burdisso, 1.56.07, Alessandro Ragaini, 1.56.61 (Top 2 officially qualified to the European Champs, also 3rd and 4th ranked swimmers went below the NF qualifying time, but per rule they're not in the team yet)   women's 100m Fly: Anita Gastaldi, 58.10   men's 100m Back: Michele Lamberti, 53.79   women's 200m Breast: Lisa Angiolini, 2.22.28 (new NR)   men's 100m Breast: Simone Cerasuolo, 58.82 (huge PB for the 50m world champion, Olympic Champion Nicolò Martinenghi and his main rival in the last 2 years, Ludovico Viberti, were absent because of injuries)   women's 200m Free: Bianca Nannucci, 1.57.82 (PB, but still a disappointing small improvement for the 2025 junior european champion); Anna Chiara Mascolo, 1.58.09 (qualifying time for the European Champs); young sensation Alessandra Mao was absent because of sickness (gastroenteritis)    men's 4*200m Free Relay: best splits: Carlos D'Ambrosio, 1.44.37 (internal leg), no other guy below the 1.46 mark in the internal legs (and no swimmers below the 1.47 mark in the 1st leg), which is a tragedy in the relay's perspective     better than Yesterday, but still nothing really exciting (and still too many expected youngsters flopping or improving only by little margin instead of having a real breakthrough performance)
