Some thoughts: * Most venues are ready and now we have the temporary structures being installed. The exception, of course, is the Velodrome in Olympic Park, which has the track and most of its interior ready, but needs some fast work on the facade. * Nice to see the temporary seats being installed, giving "shape" to the temporary arenas, like the secondary tennis courts in Olympic Park and the Rugby Arena and Equestrian Stadium in Deodoro. * Possible to see other temporary structures being installed in the Olympic Park, like the Rio mega store and the Globo studio, which are covering the blank spaces. * Similarly, the warm up pool from Swimming was covered with a temporary roof. * In the Olympic Village, is possible to see a huge temporary strutucture that probably will host most of the services for the athletes. I was also told that more than 70% of the apartments are already furnished. * In Deodoro, seems like they will keep the little fake slum alongside some part of the Mountain Bike course. I have no objections, but some people hate it. * I have tickets for one Golf session. Will I have to be in those stands for the entirety of the session (which will take hours)?

Don't get the skateboarding thing. And not sure about the surf. I think IOC is lost triying to reach the youngers. For me, is like those 45 year old dads that try so hard to be cool in front of their sons friends and they just embarrassed them. Having already the BMX in the games, the easier and more logical thing is to add a couple of BMX Freestyle events, that trying to build a "new sport" in four year.

Baseball/softball to replace rugby/golf for the "hosts sports wishes" and even they are so-so... The rest aren't even sports and have no place in the Olympics. While they are at it, why not choose also video games and Ninja Warrior. Bet they would bring more interest in Japan than the others...

Again you express opinions. Reading data, Kerber never reached a GS final before winning AO. The most she progressed in a GS was a SF, same as Pironkova did. She hasn't consistently entered the second week of GSs like the majority of top WTA players. So it seems that her success with grand slams is similar to that of Pironkova before the AO title, not equal, but similar. Try to read your original posts again and the adjectives you used. However, I do not know you in person to understand whether your attempt was to insult players and me as a user or to just express an opinion. If that was the case, then I apologize. The point of communication is to express your view in a respectful manner to others. P.S. Using caps in forums is considered shouting. Shouting and usage of strong adjectives do not make your original point more valid.
