  1. Balažová/Pištej are apparently officially qualified. They are currently 7th in the olympic ranking, 2nd among the non-qualified countries, Since the Japan open is cancelled, there mathematically no chance now they will be overtaken by 5 pairs from the non-qualified countries anymore (6 pairs will qualify via ranking) and secured the quotas too
  2. Fuck ! Fuck Fuck !!!! FUCK !!!!! The Slovak Ice Hockey Extraliga season 2019/20 has just been officially stopped and completely cancelled, we was 3 rounds before the end of the regular season and prior of one of the most followed sport event in the country the extraliga play-offs..now it´s all over... No champion will be crowned this year...more info to come Obciously I can understand ths decision, sad really sad but understandable, leaders of all clubs rejected the idea to finish the season without spectators, this has absolutely no sense in Slovakia. Maybe for freaking basketball or I don´t know handball which no one single dog in the country cares two shits about, would not be such problem but we are speaking here about the nations most popular sport... economically, it would also be extremely harmful, but especially as everyone during the negotiations commented, playing in Slovakia the play-offa for the title and winning the title and celebrating title without spectators is simply unthinkable. total nonsense, this sport here is played for peoples..It better then to cancel the whole season... well, it happened ..

  4. Stage 26 in Lillehammer (NOR) Men´s Individual Large Hill: 1. Kamil Stoch 264.3 2. Ziga Jelar 259.0 3. Timi Zajc 257.6 Full Final Result HERE
  5. and just few minutes later the DEL league announced the complete cancellation of the season as well... So no champion will be crowned in Germany this season, Adler Mannheim, the Straubing Tigers, Eisbären Berlin, and EHC Red Bull München will represent the DEL in the Champions Hockey League next season. WTF is just happening in this world ???
  6. The Ice Hokey EBEL league from today literally stopped and cancelled the season ! The multinational hockey EBEL league has taken a radical step. Due to the spreading coronavirus, the club representatives and the league leadership decided to end the season 2019/20. "10th March is a sad day for clubs, players, officials and especially for all EBEL hockey fans. We have been working intensively for months and everything has been going to the climax of the season, which is not to come. We are in an exceptional situation that affects many areas of our lives. Although this decision hurts, we consider it our duty to contribute to bringing everything back to normal as soon as possible. The leadership of the competition and the clubs decided to cancel the league. Continuing and playing matches in front of empty stands was out of the question, because our sport lives out of emotion and sensational atmosphere in the arenas, ”said the competition director Christian Feichtinger. There were already the playoffs playing in the league, they even managed to play the first three matches of the quarterfinals series ! In addition to the Austrian teams, in the EBEL also plays one Italian, Czech and Hungarian club. "Especially In Italy, the situation is very serious and the whole country is in quarantine. It would not be possible for HC Bolzano to continue in the playoffs." So This season will have no EBEL champion. The quota for the Champions Hockey League was then secured by Red Bull Salzburg as the winner of the regular season and HC Bolzano as the winner of the second round. They will be accompanied by Vienna Capitals, which took third place after the 2nd round.
  7. Matej Tóth and Michal Morvay will (hopefully) compete in France the 22nd March at the 50km French National Championship in Giene. The organizers accepted their registrations. Now let´s just hope that the event will not be cancelled, in France the events held under 1000 attendance are generally not cancelled if I am not wrong, right ? because this will be really one of the very last (if not the very last) chance. There were also a posibility to compete next week at the Ukrainian championship in Ivanofrakivsk but we had to decline it because for some reason they will not organize a 50k race but just a 35km race Another possibility may be the traditonal annual 20km czech Podebrady race, but because of the nowadays issue there rumors the organizers are considering to organize also a 50k race
  8. Same here, really annoying when updating the qualification threads a post last almost minutes to upload
  9. The Football EURO Play-Off match Slovakia vs Ireland will be played behind closed doors. Well, if actually will be played at all, the match was quite lucky because the play-offs semifinals are schedulled for 26th March so exactly 3 days after the end of the all sports ban in the country ! ( before the end of the 2 weeks period, the situation will be re-examined again and, if necessary, it cannot be ruled out that the complete ban will have to be extended. ) , but provisionally it was decided that if the ban will be over at that time the match will be without spectators We have 7 confirmed cases, can you imagine what would happen if we had some 20 or more lol.
  10. Stage 26 in Lillehammer (NOR) Women´s Individual Large Hill: 1. Sara Takanashi 296.9 2. Maren Lundby 295.4 3. Silje Opseth 293.5 Full Final Result HERE
  11. The official name is Volunteer but in fact it is a part-time job, the tests to be full-time are extremely difficult. and yes, same here
  12. Stage 26 in Lillehammer (NOR) Men´s Individual Large Hill: 1. Peter Prevc 279.0 2. Markus Eisenbichler 278.6 3. Stephan Leyhe 277.5 Full Final Result HERE
  13. and for the moment, yes, we can travel to Japan. The only banned flights we have are to and as far as I know, well, at the moment ofc
  14. Will use this and send to our federation, but I am quite sure they know about these events, hopefully they will find a way to register him.. he is well prepared apparently, with great training times far inside the required standard, it would be a nightmare if he´ll have to miss the Olympics because of this freaking virus...
  15. So summary of 9th March, 7 Cases in Slovakia (+2 Today) 1st confirmed case in Košice, the 26 years old guy arrived last week from France..and 1 guy in Martin a city in the middle of the country. +4 Slovaks (Family) in quarantine in Austria +2 Slovaks (Couple of fiancee) in Bali Results, the prime minister with the ministry of health and the crisis crew ordered from tomorrow a complete ban of all sport events, cultural events and social events in the country for the next 14 days without exceptions ! Closed all high schools and colleges in the Bratislava, Nitra, Trenčín, Trnava and Košice districts, almost all Universities and ordered to empty the dormitories, The universities will continue their studies only in the form of self-study at home or online studies In the next meeting of the crisis staff they will probably consider also the ban for religious services (masses) - expect riots here.. Also we have one huge problem, apparently we suffer a lot from a lack of medical devices such as respirators. allegedly we will apparently ask Hungary for help in this matter. the rest we will produce in one factory and another will have to be sew by prisoners..
  16. Huge troubles for Matej Tóth, the Dudince 50 schedulled for 21 March, was his RACE where he was supposed to qualify for Tokyo, now with all sport events canceled in Slovakia, he lost probably his last chance to qualify...our Athletics federation already informed they will try to register him as soon as they´ll find a 50k race somewhere, no matter where.... Since he DNF the last worlds farce race he does not have any chance to qualify via ranking, his only chance is to compete somewhere to earn the required standard...well, things does not look better, do you know by any chance a 50k race being held somewhere maybe I would be able to send then a mail to our athletics federation with the information
  17. The prohibition will be strict he said. No sport matches or events held in the country at all he said...there will be no differences between a local single football lower league match or an event with international attendance he said ! ...even a event without spectators is too risky he said...so, yeah lets cancell every sport for two weeks in the country... 14 days without our hockey extraliga...can you even believe that ? now during the crucial part of the season right just before the play-offs
  18. Breaking news !!! All Sport events in Slovakia are officially banned for the next 14 Days ! This apply also for all concerts, theaters and other cultural or other events "It is prohibited to hold any sporting, cultural and social events for the next 14 days" just said the prime minister in front of cameras right now ! https://sport.aktuality.sk/c/439041/na-slovensku-sa-pre-koronavirus-zakazuju-vsetky-sportove-podujatia/
