  2. My maths were worng as always... Luka Bozic won the world cup by 2 points. Hard luck for Beňuš, but well at least he secured the quota for Paris for himself as concolation
  3. Matej Beňuš won the World Cup for the 4th time in his career. 12th Overall World Cup win for in M C1 also Matej Beňuš will go to his 3rd consecutive Olympics
  4. Ivaldi won the world cup final 21st Ceccon will represent Italy at the Olympics. Search the error ?

  7. This is so unfair that some sports have 2 or 3 athletes at the Olympics, while other sports are limited to only 1 per country.
  8. Announced clusterfuck is happening ! The battle for quota in M C1 is going to be crazy. All 3 are in final. This is the last race. Reminder of the current situation before the very last race. Final here in Vairnes-Sur-Marne current standing M C1 1. Matej Beňuš 32 Points ------------------------------------ 2. Marko Mirgorodský 27 3. Alexander Slafkovský 18
  9. Our co-commentator (expert) revealed this. Italian coaches said it to him. "The TOP 5 at the Worlds means automatic internal Italian quota. Ceccon with his bronze hit the jackpot."
  10. Yeah Ivaldi miles better than Ceccon. Sorry, but this was a huge error from Italian federation. Interesting to see different internal qualifiers formats across different nations.
  11. So Paolo Ceccon really hit the jackpot at the world champs with his bronze medal, He will represent in Paris C1 instead of Ivaldi... Strange decision from the federation. I mean the bronze was nice from Ceccon, but to be fair he did not show anything else so far in opposite of Raffello Ivaldi
  12. Jessica Fox got a 50 in the semifinal, her team (parents) unoffical leaders of ICF Canoe Sllaom section immediatelly intervened, The 50 was removed and changed by a 2 seconds penalty. J. Fox back in the final... I can´t anymore. Counting the days when she will finally retire so this sport can re-clean 50 also for Eliška Mintálová, sad end of the season for her, but at least her Olympic quota is secured. In other side very Nice qualification for the final for Soňa Stanovská here
  13. The biggest crowd support and cheers so far for Carole Bouzidi in this W K1 Semifinals
  14. Also the finals will be with top 12 paddlers from the 24 members semifinals
  15. Quite a fog at the start and upper part of the track
  16. Definitely not out of reach yeah, that was really hilarious but also dangerous, thankfully everything ended well though
  17. W K1 Heats Final Results (Top 24 Qualify for the Semifinals) I really like this track and venue. The atmosphere was amazing and it was only for the Heats. If this was just a small indicator then yes, Next year Olympics are going to be great.
  18. M C1 Heats Final Results (Top 24 Qualify for the Semifinals)
  19. My first thoughts about the Olympic venue are positive, I like the venue more than the last 2 from Tokyo and Rio. It finally bring me that more "natural" feeling than the more artficial ones we had in the last 2 Olympics, I like it more, the races are now more open and it help also different track courses setting options and better working with some eventual "trap" places. Interesting also that the ICF and organizers took this world cup stage as a Olympic first pre-test and changed even the rules to make them "Olympics" In fact we are using the classic Olympic format with best of 2 runs count in the heats, and in Sunday the Kayak-Cross will have also a new format with 1st round the morning followed by Repechages before the classic Last 16 round.QF, SF and so... Also super pleasantly surprised by the attendance, Huge crowd already for the Heats, something we did not see this whole year. Bravo The Heats are available on Youtube: Runs 1 for M C1 and W K1 here

  22. I would sign for that anytime obviously, but this sport is so even currently, results are within second(s) that any mistake, any stronger wind while crossing a gate, any stronger or smaller change of water literally at any part of the piste during the run can make the difference, the track setting for the semifinals and finals itself may be a big factor as it can be more favorable for one or another type of paddlers (more technical type, more strength paddler, left handed, right handed especially in Cannoe events) + home advantage is and always will be a advantageous factor for local paddlers who will have more chances to learn about the water specifications. So all in all, predict anything in Canoe Slalom is a bit courageous, bold and highly .. let say speculative (but, yeah I would sign anytime for your prediction to happen )
  23. Ah, yes, now it makes sense. Thanks for clarification
