Gli sport di combattimento sono un tale marciume che andrebbero banditi in toto dalle Olimpiadi, non se ne può più.

Questo senza dubbio. Se guardiamo alle gare di scherma e judo in programma in questi due giorni, avere raccolto in totale solo un bronzo da queste due discipline è un bilancio disastroso. Va anche detto che l'andamento di alcune gare di oggi avrà ripercussioni sul medagliere più avanti, nel senso che sono arrivate eliminazioni da tornei che assegneranno i posti sul podio più in là. Penso a Mouhiidine ma anche a Bolelli/Vavassori, fuori al primo turno.

Secondo me Ganna è un fuoriclasse e sarebbe tale anche se fosse arrivato 16esimo (semmai si può dire che è più dominante nell'inseguimento in pista che su strada). Se due fuoriclasse si scontrano, uno dei due perde, ma non smette di essere un fuoriclasse. Poi io non sono tanto convinto che uscire dal Tour sia un grande handicap, così come in genere uscire dalla Vuelta non è un problema per chi punta al Mondiale.

Probabilmente stare in piedi per ore sotto l'acqua due giorni prima della gara non è il miglior approccio alla competizione, se ricordo bene c'è anche in giro qualche statistica su come i portabandiera fatichino a vincere medaglie (anche se ci sono da considerare diverse cose, tra cui il fatto che di solito il portabandiera è qualcuno che ha già vinto tanto, e quindi spesso arriva all'Olimpiade in questione quando è già in parabola discendente). Però dubito che qualcuno l'abbia costretta ad accettare il ruolo di portabandiera. Del resto non si può nemmeno scegliere qualcuno di meno titolato solo perché gareggia a fine programma

Però secondo me al massimo siamo nel campo delle valutazioni discutibili, più che dei furti. Poi a mio parere, quando una fiorettista fortissima come Favaretto si trova avanti 10-4 contro un'avversaria nettamente inferiore, se perde ci sono molti motivi da indicare prima di arrivare alla valutazione dell'ultima stoccata.

Il pomeriggio è stato fallimentare, ma la sfortuna non c'entra niente (e secondo me nel caso della scherma non è neanche questione di arbitraggio).

L'unica regola aurea dello sport è che dove metti un arbitro/giudice, quello rovinerà tutto. Mouhiidine l'ho visto a metà perché seguivo anche la scherma, anche se leggendo un po' ovunque mi pare che la rapina sia stata evidente. Non ripeto quello che ho detto all'arbitro di Odette Giuffrida perché verrei bannato e arrestato.
