  1. By any chance does Indian women have a chance to get into the quota and get 2 places in women's section because of these allocations....

Agree with Jyothi she ran a good race untill the last 30m..She was running away with the race, But then she faded badly to give the race to Srabani....Hope she gets that stamina to finish the race... Yaa we are expecting many more to hit the mark provided they participate in International events. In India with hardly any competition they cant push themselves to that mark.

  4. I feel in 50km walk we already have 2 people and to follow those who are quite a bit far is not interesting.. Hope they achieve the mark, but not much interest in that. Durgesh having 0.87s is bit too far to achieve in few months... Jinson and others too I feel not in the range to qualify... But would love them to prove me wrong...

  7. We have a recorded timing of 3.29 sec recorded in August 2015..Which comes for the calculation. So we still are in the contention for the slot in relay...

  16. I think we should get more athletics quota next month from Asian Grand Prix when they are pushed further, Here we hardly have competitors to push the main person to the limits. Hope we secure more in coming days to come..

  18. Lalita babar Breaks her own NR with a timing of 9.27.09s in Women's 300m Steeplechase and Sudha singh comes second with 9.31.86s both are inside the Rio mark of 9.45:00s. With Sudha qualifying we have 2 athletes in this event....

  20. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has announced Rs.1.10 crores for Dipa Karmakar's practice for the Olympics with 80 lakhs for apparatus and the rest for training abroad. Dipa is likely to choose between two events — in Turkey and Singapore — in June as her build up to the Olympics.
