  1. I assume so, but the host was making a whole big deal of this being the last night in which he starts a world championships If he wins but doesn't do so with great play, he has a good chance to lose out in round two because if he isn't perfect, his eternal negativity takes over.
  2. The single most epic combination of commentary and performance and moment and everything
  3. Too bad when looking for today's youth results on the FIL website I got spoiled by the big headline about the men's race winner, but I don't know the women's winner yet, so I'll still go and watch that At least it means there's nothing tomorrow night, which is good for me
  4. Holy shit, that backhand assist for 6-6
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if Americans come and call Katie Ledecka's gold medals among the best sports moments of the decade even though they were arguably some of the most boring Olympic finals ever
  6. Yeah, still less than JTB apparently
  7. Ugh, thanks FIL....their messing up of the CET after midnight combined with the date made me think the World Cup in Whistler started today, but apparently it did yesterday..
  8. That's significantly less than what JTB will most likely miss
  9. The idiotic one of the two Dutch studio hosts (they switch out every session, more or less): "This is the last evening EVER in which Raymond van Barneveld....starts a world championships!"
  10. Noriaki Kasai's individual silver medal at the 2014 Olympics. The end.
  11. Awesome to see Jai Angsuthasawit of Thailand getting more and more involved in keirin finals at this level. Too bad he had a HARD crash in today's semi's, hitting the deck at 75+ km/h, but luckily being able to start the small final and finish second there. Saw the earlier crash as well, Awang went down pretty hard due to a dumb move by Kawabata. He did walk away though, somewhat bruised.
  12. That was the Miss Universe of earlier in the week (or last week already)
  13. Yeah but who cares if someone opens something for later. "Fuck, there's no chronological order in the opening of threads, DELETE " These things tell new users (if we have them) not to dare open a thread because it'll be moved anyway.
  14. Oh that's too bad. Good initiative to open the thread though, should not have been just closed and moved but here we are
  15. Part of the Australian/Brazilian/Spanish pact
  16. In that case at least today's 12th place is better than that. Oh well, every nation has amazing and shitty times, nothing to worry about for those who like them and nothing to celebrate for those who don't
  17. And a Belgian relay now that Pjotr Dielen qualified for the World Cup with his awesome performance in the IBU Cup this week. Cesar Beauvais is eligible too now, but they've already got 4 even without Michi Rösch
  18. I do it because I just want to watch too much and if I don't have an easy list of everything combined, I am going to miss things 100% sure So for example I've got this (I add both things I actually will watch and some things I want to check the result of, I think most Dutch makes sense when you know for example the XC WC is in Davos this week, schansspringen = ski jumping): When something is finished (I checked the result/watched the event/wrote my article about it on a Dutch website), I simply delete it
  19. JTB favourite to win this race now.
  20. Somebody tell JTB aimbots are not allowed please.
  21. That red guy in the middle is offside.
  22. Anyway, it means the schedule is back to what it was early November, so I don't need to change anything Weather saves me 5 seconds.
  23. I'm mostly surprised the Dutch NOC even has a development thing for tennis, which is so focussed on anything but the Olympics basically.
  24. Spending 100k, ending up with this kind of monstrosity, damn. https://nypost.com/2019/12/12/woman-who-had-blowup-doll-surgeries-suffers-complications
